i think i already made myself clear on what happened to me... but i'll delete it from there and put it here...
it definitely did for me. i missed everything after Bassnectar on saturday night i was flailing around in my tent trying to "make it stop"... here was my emotional state of mind saturday night after bassnectar... ??? ;D ;D zzzzzzzz . I was freaking out so much that i thought that everything up until that point in my life wasn't real and that i would NEVER return to the life i had lived before. Something was going on at The ropeadope stage saturday night with a heavy beat, and i kept hearing Widespread on the other side of the tent but it sounded like backwards noises almost like ghostly noises coming from John Bell's vocals... i couldn't quite differentiate the two and i couldn't put it all together. I was getting some really messed up MC Escher type visuals. it was NOT cool. i eventually put myself back together... than that huge stream of fireworks from the camp grounds came on and started me back up again...
needless to say that "it" finally stopped, but i was pretty done after that. We packed up first thing sunday and headed home because i didn't take monday off and the only person i wanted to see Sunday was franti and i couldn't justify fighting traffic and weather to get home. so we made it home right at about 4:20pm and i ate a leftover "rice krispie treat" and unpacked and did some laundry. :-)
i can't wait to see chef's pics... our camera overheated i think and every picture we took turned out psychedelic looking. Sometimes if you took the battery pack and blew on it a big, it would work again and take a decent picture, but picture taking sucked for us.
I was freaking out so much that i thought that everything up until that point in my life wasn't real and that i would NEVER return to the life i had lived before.
That I'll happen if you partake in the trippin sauce and/or the trippin roots.
Though it sounds like you guys had fun. Now that you guys have enjoyed Allgood, you need to make a trip down to Bear Creek. Check out my thread.
So All Good is definitely the headiest festival i've ever been to and seen. Not only is the scenery great, but there were absolutely no hassles and every 3rd person was... well, you know... I saw alot of great music and we had a great spot where we camped. I was upset that i missed dark star orchestra's late night as well as the preceding Widespread Panic show on saturday night and we skipped out on sunday completely because of threats of thunderstorms and a 7 hour drive home. We beat almost all the traffic out and didn't really miss anybody that we wanted to see, except Micheal Franti & Spearhead but i've seen them about 4 times so i wasn't too bummed... if we had stayed we wouldn't have got home until probably 4am. Instead we were home right at 4:20pm. :-) Anyways here's a little list of the groups i saw and a brief review of each.
Thursday, July 10, 2008 The Join (Shields & Shearer w. Benevento & Russo) - 2am late night dance party. Fantastic!

Jazzam - up and coming band, not too shabby.

The Wood Brothers - these guys rock and have a huge sound for just 2 boys pickin'
Saturday, July 12, 2008 Bassnectar - one of the best dj's and shows i've ever witnessed
Keller Williams w. Moseley, Droll & Sipe - keller is always a good time, this was no exception. Excellent Eyes of the World here.
Pnuma Trio - phew, wow these guys came out of nowhere
Telepath - would like to see them at night, because they are awesome
Mike Gordon - played alot of new stuff, did a cover of Phish's meat which was solid and told some funny stories

a festival being too crazy??????????? as long as no one got hurt it wasnt too crazy imo. but it is certainly a different type of party then the more "well known fests" (my attempt at being polite about roo) but im glad to hear the only complaints so far are its too crazy, much better then still hearing about kanye 3 weeks later..... i only wish i could have made it. luckily i ended up at michigan peace fest and had one of the greatest weekends of my life, i think im still spun a bit. i dont think all good could have even come close.... but im still sad to have missed it.
so anyhow. lots of info about how crazy it was and how quacked up everyone got. so uhhh tell us something we dont know!! HOW WAS THE MUSIC?!?!?!??!?!!?
Incredibly awesome.
Phil's set was REALLLLY jammy and awesome.
Widespread blew me away
Tea Leaf Green rocked it
Railroad Earth was chill as hell
Hot Buttered Rum put on an awesome show, one of my favorites
DSO was the shiznizzle
Mule's set was awesome, though I was hoping for some guests....
Oh... and... THE JOIN WAS FRIGGIN SICK! what an awesome weekend.
ahhhh... i didnt see this thread!! i cant believe mule had no guests!!!!! thats insane!
i think the thing im most disappointed about missing all good (well aside from raging with camp infogood) is that i havent had spicy pie this year and its killing me!!! `

music that sticks out to me: the join - fuckin increadible (thursday is the new spunday) phil lesh COVERING PARTICLE!?!?! OMFG?!!!!!! i still cant believe that!!! bassnectar/DSO glowstick wars. increadible.. watchin DSO glowsticks from the hill at the top- to watch a crowd like that, from above is insanity. the bridge, when Gordon came out. and most surprising to me, i am now a widespread fan. they tore it up and it was probably my favorite set of the weekend. I know im missing stuff but there are some highlights from me

jewclaw got stuck with us when the cars got spereated at the ticket booth. We had a great time in the inforoo annex. It was great meeting everyone and doing some picking at camp inforoo. I personal best moment, is when Lord got both those bubble machines Rockin in the inforoo hood. I have never seen so many bubbles all at once. I could have sat there in bubble heaven for days in my daze.
