Band of Horses sold out both nights. Hopefully I can somehow score a ticket at the doors the day of the 30th show. Had no idea they would sell out a month in advance.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
I won't be able to make the New Year's show for obvious reasons... but I really think I need to head down to the city a few days early and catch her 12/29 or 12/30 gig. In fact, if I can swing the money, I would really love to do: 12/29 - Patti Smith 12/30 - Gogol Bordello 12/31 - My Morning Jacket (and possibly Crystal Castles later on)
I'm going to try and pull this off. Realistically, I know I won't get to see all four shows, but hopefully I'll make it to at least one show besides MMJ. I know I've only got two weeks to get my poop together though, so I've got to get busy, fellas!

Damn not exactly the year for a new englander to go to a show on NYE. two total shows in the state, at nearly opposite ends of the state, and neither are very intriguing.

Given my options, I'd be happy with either Soulive or AOD. Of course, if I could have gotten off of work to go anywhere I'd be in New York right now.
