I would really like to see either...but a more stronger feeling for OutKast. They would also suit the vibe of Bonnaroo because they don't speak all the time about girls, money, and cars...the typical stuff that comes from our generation of rap.
This is taken from "Return of the 'G'."
"Return of the gangsta thanks ta' them niggas that thank [think] you soft and say y'all be gospel rappin' but they be steady clappin' when you talk about bitches & switches & hoes & clothes & weed let's talk about time travelin' rhyme javelin somethin' mind unravelin' get down"
I think that shows a fair example of what I mean. At least they talk about more interesting things instead of what they have made in their rap career. All the money they make and the girls they are getting.
I gotta run with Jay-Z on this one. That preformance at Glastonbury was unQuackin real. Dont think he can ever relive that performance but would lkike to see what he can do. OutKast runs a close second, though.
I like both, and they are both among the top slots on my list for Hip Hop artists I want... but I've gotta go with Outkast. Not only does it seem like they'd but on a better diversified (stylistically) show, but it also seems kind of special; Outkast doesn't seem like they are going to be touring too much anymore, however, Jay Z seems more willing to tour.
Yeah...I just don't really understand why the Outkast rumors keep popping up. They don't tour together anymore. They're not currently recording anything together. They did hardly any promotional work on the last couple albums they've released together.
Might as well hope for a Fugees appearance while we're at it.

I'm gonna have to go with Jay-Z, only because he hasn't made a song that has made me want to rip my hair out and drown myself in a toilet unlike that Roses song Outkast did

In 2007, Andre 3000 confirmed a new Outkast album would be released, but said that he and Big Boi released solo records first, stating the group album is still possibly two years away.[11] Big Boi's solo album will be released first in 2008, with the first single, "Royal Flush", planned to have been released on December 31st, 2007, but was not released on the announced date. Big Boi announced on his myspace that the release date for Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty is now October 28, 2008. The single saw an unintended release months later due to being leaked on the internet.
Hmm... I'm going with Outkast, because: A) I saw them several years ago and they put on a very fun show. B) I am more of a fan of Outkast's than of Jay-Z's.
Personally though, I'm predicting Superfly will shy away from booking another big-name hip-hop act for at least a couple of years.

Both would be really fun shows but i think i'd rather see Jay-Z even though i've been a bigger outkast fan throughout the years. I think both of the artists' albums have gotten weaker over time but to me outkast has really fallen off in the last couple years... "i like the way you move."... terrible.
WHAT I MEANT TO SAY WAS.... FU¢K MY BIG BROTHER AND OUTKAST! KANYE'S HEADLINING ALL FOUR NIGHTS, BIT¢HE$!
i think outkast would be the better show and i would rather see them, but jay-z is much more likely. outkast hardly ever tours and i havent heard anything about plans for them to go on tour anytime soon. jay-z on the other hand has already played the worlds biggest fest, so he has experience playing fests.

dude no brainer...jay definitely. guy is unreal. for those of you who havent really listened to his stuff, give it a go. the guy has just a sublime idea of music and puts words to paper like no other. Insanely smart. saw his show in boston this past year but was upgraded to the seats right next to the speakers and unfortunately all i could hear was the orchestra....it would be awesome to see him at 'roo, i have actually been hoping for this since his glastonbury show (which showed me he is great for festi's, he is just plain fun and has a great crowd relations!) For sure he would improve the hiphop/rap scene in the eyes of us roo'ers!
outcast def! our president's black is freeking stupid, but jay zs "the doors" remix is bad ass!Id rather give kaya a second chance after watching storytellears
