i love them both. in the last two years i would say these two bands have become my two new big obscessions. i've seen Tribe twice and bisco only once. both bands i caught their roo shows from the last two years. while both tribe shows i caught were major dance parties, i've never witnessed anything quite like bisco. they get my vote, and will have my attendance at at least one show for every tour they do from here on out.
the thing about tribe is they don't jam anymore making their shows more predictable imo, now when i hear a song I know start I know exactly where its going with bisco I still get surprised.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
some will disagree with me but even though bisco and tribe are different in their sound, i still look at them as the two leading bands in the trance fusion genre. apart from bonnaroo 2004, one or the other has always been at the farm. after attending trinumeral fest in august i am thinking that maybe roo will give the trance fusion late night spot to other up and coming trance bands this year and would not be surprised really if sts9 didnt make a return. dont get me wrong i had a blast at tribe in 07 and bisco in 08 but i would not be surprised if this year one of the tents was Lotus 12am to 1:30 or 2am and then EOTO or Pnuma from 2-2:30am till 4ish. those three bands seem more up and coming in the genre than any others i've noticed and none of them have played the farm before. just pondering really.
Hey Lakai! Until lastnight, I would have said STS9. I do have tickets for Bisco in NYC over the holidays. I've been a lover of STS9 for awhile and only got to see Bisco for the first time with Clairity (member here on the board) at Rothbury in the summer. Then lastnight in the mail, I received the DVD Progressions from Bisco. Ok I'm sold now! I am a lova of Bisco over STS9!

cant believe i missed this poll.
bump
and i'm going with sts9. I love the new and old stuff. Especailly from 02'. Great stuff there. Its more predictable now days, but still awesome. especially when they drop the old stuff, "water song", "hubble", "monkey music", "orbital", etc etc... Bonnaroo 07' was my first sts9 show, and it was pretty sweet. although i was in the very back, and didnt get the whole effect of the lazers.
Bisco is just dirty though. Its a bummer i cant choose bisco and sts9 over umph

Ugh, what a horrible decision to make. I agree with Becca, apples and oranges there. I'm gonna say Bisco only because they're groovin' through my headphones right now. And because STS9 (and Umph) canceled in ATL a while back after we stood out in a hellacious storm for hours, waiting.
