The Dead would headline for sure. Outkast would probably be a late-night. The Killers aren't anywhere near big enough to headline, though. In fact, I don't think there would be much of an objection if they were put in a tent during the daytime.
Nice job on the poster, though. Rearrange a few names here and there, add some jam bands that aren't Phish, The Dead or The Allman Bros. Then throw in some hip-hop names, put Matisyahu ten lines closer to the top, and add a bunch more acts that have been around for more than 10 or so years, and you got yourself a nice little lineup.
Oh yeah, don't forget Gogol Bordello and My Morning Jacket
nah i was just kidding in my post before, obviously, that lineup is beyond incredible. i would be sold simply by Particle and RJD2 and pray they arent conflicting.
The Killers are about on the same level as Franz Ferdinand (pretty much the same fan base too) and Franz Ferdinand played on the Which State at like 6:00, which is about where I'd see The Killers.
Never say never my friend. I know it's been pointed out, but we did have Metallica and Kanye last year, as well as The Police and Tool the year before. Bonnaroo has gone for more mainstream acts as headliners over the past couple of years in order to draw ticket sales and talk. Regardless of whether you liked Metallica or not (which I know you said you did), you have to admit, people were talking about Bonnaroo last year strictly because they were there.
I know Kanye wasn't listed as a technical "headliner", but for all intensive purposes he had headliner status as the only late-night performer ever to play on the main stage.

wow. haven' been in the forum for a while. i almost shat meself looking at this before i saw that you made it. bad, bad, bad azz lineup. there would be a TON of awesome dance/electronica acts. very groovy.
^^^ already WELL in the works... just a matter of them telling(Feb) or "leaking" (much sooner) us...
When did the names of actual/confirmed lineup artists start leaking last year? I was in the bonnawomb at the time, so I don't know what the normal flow of info is like...
We started hearing the names Metallica and Led Zepellin allot this time last year... pretty much, most people already knew early in 07 that we were going to get Pearl Jam..
So I'd say either later this month or next month is when the strong rumors should start popping up.

That lineup would absolutely kill me with conflicts. My entire weekend would consist of running back and forth all across the farm and raging my face off.
My reasoning for expecting My Morning Jacket not to be there next year...
Think about their 08 late-night set. If they play the very next year, everyone's going to expect them to sort of kick it up a notch from that. How do you one-up THAT performance? I just don't see that happening the very next year.
^ im pretty positive you mean 08. but i totally get what ur sayin. i think my morning jacket is too big to be playing consecutive years, i cant think of a better spot than late night which stage apart from headlining.
