do you think the earth would blow up if radiohead, phish and the dead all headlined bonnaroo? wow!!!!! i can't even imagine headliners like that...
Maybe not the world, but i can definitely say that my mind would be blown. Radiohead can do that to me all on their lonesome, but add those two and it's a guarantee.
I don't really care who headlines as long as there's a solid B-list like last year, but here's my predictions anyway:
Friday: AC/DC (Not that I really like either band, but it's one of very few ways to "top" Metallica ie. getting a bigger hard-rock name. I would have preferred Motorhead, but I don't think that's in the cards.)
Saturday: Co-headliners- Jay-Z leading into Coldplay (An easy way for 'Roo to top Glastonbury. Jay-Z and Coldplay are already doing shows together. Neither are on the same level as Pearl Jam or Radiohead, so putting both as co-headliners makes up for it.)
Sunday: Allman Brothers (Keep to Roo's jammy roots. Allmans had to cancel last year, this would be their epic make-up show. Finally would get something other than WSP )
I'm sure some people will think I'm nuts for these choices. Seriously though, Bonnaroo strives for diversity and it doesn't get much more diverse or eclectic than that:
Hard Rock Guilty Pleasure Legends that don't really fit -> Hip-Hop Royalty -> Epic Modern Rock that Paul Rudd thinks is gay -> Hippie Jam Legends = one weird fantastic festival.
As for the B-list, give me any of these and I'll be happy:
Interpol Muse Cake Eels Band of Horses Deerhunter Bon Iver Daft Punk My Morning Jacket Spoon Black Keys Beck any form of Jack White any form of Claypool Flaming Lips Wilco Mars Volta

EDIT: You could replace AC/DC with Rush. They aren't really the same genre, but Rush would still fit the typical Bonnaroo Friday night methinks.
Polls are so damn tempting. I've been a lurker for a couple years and have been at the last 4 Bonnaroo's but a damn poll finally gets me to post something. What a draw. BTW, I'm having trouble adding a custom avator. They are under 100 x 100, but they don't add. And ideas?
