Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
It's kinda sad that people are so desperate to rip on the guy that they'll cite contactmusic.com to do so.
Also, can we stop acting like coming on late (never proven to be his fault) is equivalent to killing our first-borns? Get over it. Life's too short to spend so much energy on something like that.
Secondly, anyone who claims that 808's and Heartbreak is a "good" record, doesn't hold much esteem as far as taste or music-intellect is concerned. Just my opinion
Wow, that was a sh*tty comment. I for one (maybe the only one here) actually enjoy the album, I actually like that its different, I actually like that it pisses people off, and I really could give two shits what you people think about me for liking it. But I'll tell you one thing, don't come on here and start insulting people's "taste & music-intellect" because you STILL have a distaste in your mouth from Bonnaroo last year, or you just like don't like him in general. That's a battle you don't want to fight, we're all here because we love music, and we're all entitled to like what we like. Next time check you elitist attitude at the door, and be a little more considerate.
^There are 23.456.563 threads on inforoo, about 20 contain kanye references, I am sure you can find a better way to spend your time than ripping on people who are ripping on kanye.
Admittedly haven't read any posts in this thread yet. Just came here to say I'm listening to Kanye's new comedy album and this man is seriously a talented comedian. THIS poop IS HILARIOUS!!
wait...this album isn't supposed to be funny? THIS GUY IS SERIOUS??? AW HELL NAW SQUID BRAINS!

Yeah, but the difference for me is that I could care less what anyone has to say about the album or him, and I never give a crap when anyone rips on him. Hell, these threads are the most entertaining threads on here (except for the fact that a new one pops up everyday). But keep the ripping on Kanye to ripping on Kanye, leave taking stabs at people on the board out of it.
I'm just playing devil's advocate here, if you thought I was telling you that you weren't entitled to your opinion to not like Kanye, then I don't know what you were reading. I just find it entertaining how fanatical, if you will, the people who dislike Kanye are.
Do you believe everything you see/read in the media? I'm hoping your answer is no, and assuming as well, but if that is the case then why believe this article and use it as a crutch to rip on Kanye? Or is it just because he wasted an hour and a half of your time at Bonnaroo and he comes off as a douche in the media? That's all I was saying in the first place, and somehow you assumed I was telling you your opinion didn't matter.
Once again, I just like to play devil's advocate, and I'm sorry if anyone takes my posts any other way.
As for the new album, I think it's ok. It's definetly different, and I like that. Still, I think his only real great song is Homecoming, and he has a few others I'd still rank above this album.

I agree completely I like some people almost everyone on here would say was crap (Meatloaf) there is no room for intolerance in tastes on this board. That being said Kanye Sucks!!! , but hell that means we will just have to find the 63 other shows at Bonnaroo that we both like and can hang out at.

I have no problem with you being a devils advocate, or pro Kanye for that matter. However what you advocated was stopping the discussion, and that is all I took issue with. Honestly I dont like hip hop very much and could care less about Kanye West in general other than how he effected my Bonnaroo experience. I don't believe everything I read, but I read a lot, and 90% of things about Kanye are things I perceive as negatives, and not qualities I would like to see in an artist I support. (I would say the same thig about Ryan Adams by the way) Anyway like I said I don't have any hard feelings towards him personally or an axe to grind, but dammit hes a douche and I will continue to comment on that fact now that I know who he is.
I like some people almost everyone on here would say was crap (Meatloaf)
A very talented performer... I think I am going to crank and burn a digital copy of my Bat Out of Hell vinyl on this brand new awesome USB Turntable next... after I finish doing the one I am doing now... Pyromania

He says he is the voice of a generation for this decade, but with all that auto-tuning, you are not even the voice of your own album. Colbert is funny.
HOW DARE YOU? HAVE YOU EVER SEEN T-PAIN LIVE? YOU DON'T KNOW THE THINGS I'VE SEEN MAN, YOU DON'T KNOW. I WOULD HAVE TAKEN KANYE BEING A DAY LATE OVER T-PAIN...sorry, I have post traumatic stress disorder from that T-Pain show. I lost it when he said he was better than Jay-Z and the Beatles. Yeah, T-Pain said that, not Kanye.
I was talking about Kanye's "album" first of all. Not any live performance. He uses auto-tune like it's going out of style, just like T-Pain. Secondly, anyone who claims that 808's and Heartbreak is a "good" record, doesn't hold much esteem as far as taste or music-intellect is concerned. Just my opinion
Yes, I have bad taste in music. Bob Dylan, The Band, Todd Snider, and My Morning Jacket are my favorite bands and artists. I guess they suck according to you. Don't judge me for liking Kanye West and I won't judge you for being a judgemental music snob. Just my opinion.
^And then he goes on whining like 12 year old girl about the "superhuman" effort he puts into music. Also I seriously doubt Kanye knows or cares about the attention he gets on this board.
I don't really care about that, his attitude is just that, HIS attitude, and that's beyond the point I was trying to make.
And although he doesn't know/care about the attention on this board, all these negative topics about him will ultimately be seen by someone who doesn't know Kanye, on these boards or any other, and they will most likely search them if they are unaware who he is. Then maybe they become a fan, that's how publicity works. So whether or not Kanye is reading inforoo, your still playing into what he wants, more publicity.
Smite me for my opinion contradicting yours
That's what I said, and you responded saying I "cared about you not expressing (your opinion)," and I have no idea how you got that out of my post. I just said your playing into what he wants, whether you choose to do so is completely up to you. You seem to despise Kanye, so I was simply informing you that whether you talk good or down on him, the attention your providing is what he craves. So if you really wanted to smite Kanye, ignoring him is probably your best bet.
When did I advocate to stop this topic? I don't see it once in this thread, so please enlighten me.
Besides, the ORIGINAL point I was making was that this source is totally bogus, but you went right back to ripping on Kanye and that he ruined Bonnaroo yada yada yada. I don't care if you constantly rip on Kanye, be my guest. I'm over it and ready for Roo next year.
P.S. - Gogol Bordello was an hour late for the Superjam right? That didn't ruin my Roo experience in the slightest. In fact, I ended up seeing MMJ right in time for One Big Holiday and having the best time of my whole weekend thanks to the superjam being late! Trust in karma my friend, and you will be rewarded
Also, can we stop acting like coming on late (never proven to be his fault) is equivalent to killing our first-borns? Get over it. Life's too short to spend so much energy on something like that.
agree that at the end of the day, it really was no big deal.
as far as it being his fault - im pretty sure that was proven. he was in GA at some other rapper's party at midnight-ish. maybe, maybe, you could pull off both in one night.
but it doesn't show good / positive intent to ensure everything goes off without a hitch when you are several states away on the night of the show.
as for the snl kanye - that was a funny article. basically "kanye was caught sucking, since he wasnt lipsyncing!"
