Our specially priced first tier tickets are now officially sold out! Thank you all for your support, and we will have exciting news in the coming months regarding the 2009 festival.
You can still purchase tickets for the 2009 festival for the regular ticket prices of $224.50, then $234.50, and finally $249.50. Tickets will only be available at each price range while supplies last; all price ranges may not be available during our regular on-sale in late January/early February.
We are pleased to announce the confirmed track listing for 'Live from Bonnaroo 2008'. Hand picked from some of last year's finest moments, this DVD collection features incredible performances and exclusive Bonnaroo footage. The audio has been remixed from the Bonnaroo master tapes in stereo and 5.1 surround. Live From Bonnaroo 2008 captures the Bonnaroo experience and the incredible performances that made this an unforgettable event.
The DVD will arrive to preorder customers in January. We apologize for the delay in sending out the 2008 Commemorative DVD. We think that you will love the final product and we appreciate your patience.
The DVD track listing is included. I think they definitely went with safe picks from Pearl Jam (Betterman), Metallica (Fade To Black) and My Morning Jacket (I'm Amazed). I wish they had gone with more obscure songs but I guess these songs work for the casual fan.
what do the tiers mean exactly? is there an advantage to buying your ticket earlier other than it being cheaper? and i'm still saving up for my ticket... will they all sell out? when is the latest i can wait to get it? (sorry if these seem like dumb questions)

Carly, I can assure you, you've got awhile. Did tickets even sell out last year? I can't remember, but I don't believe I bought mine until March or April last year, and about the same time in 2007.
Tiers are just the different pricing levels of tickets. With each tier, the price will go up a bit.
As far as the advantage of buying an early bird ticket, it mostly comes down to saving some dough and getting it out of the way.

^^^ i wish they had him and it showed an intro of how the screens kept moving it back and then when his screen broke and then when he got bood and all that other stuff that made it so memerable... kind of a worst of kanye session for a good 5 minutes of it

I don't think they sold out...wasn't attendance only like 70,000 this year compared to earlier years of higher attendance? But ya they definitely won't sell out before there is a line up!!! ooooh I can't wait...when do they usually drop the first part of the lineup?

I'll be the first to bitch about the DVD tracklist. I don't like it. A couple good selections, but overall it's too top-heavy without hardly any of the good undercards from the lineup.
And speaking personally, only a few of those artists' shows I attended, so I'm bummed that some of my favorite shows aren't featured. I'm sure the DVD will still be enjoyable-- and I hope there is lots of atmospheric footage as on the previous DVDs.

I agree that the list is a *bit* top-heavy, but I was definitely psyched to see Broken Social Scene make the cut.
I think the comment against Kanye is right there, putting the Charli2na cut on the DVD while Kanye was busy. I am pysched, as there's at least 2-3 shows I was on the rail for on the DVD. Some things safe? Um, sure- it is a DVD of 140 bands and they picked a few bands/tracks were most of the 70-k people were at. But I think they did a few pretty oddball tracks there. I'm sure it will capture the vibe.
I just can't wait for the Charli2na or Raconteur tracks to see my pirate hat!
1. The Raconteurs - Old Enough 2. Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings - Let Them Knock 3. Broken Social Scene - Love Is New 4. Gogol Bordello - Think Locally quack Globally 5. Chali 2na with Galactic - Lock poop / Right Now 6. Metallica - Fade to Black 7. Lee Boys - Come On, Help Me Lift Him Up 8. Tegan and Sara - Back In Your Head 9. Against Me! - We Laugh at Danger (And Break All The Rules) 10. The Avett Brothers - Die Die Die 11. Jack Johnson - If I Had Eyes 12. Les Claypool - One Better 13. Mastodon - Colony of Birchmen 14. Two Gallants - Despite What You've Been Told 15. My Morning Jacket - I'm Amazed 16. Pearl Jam - Better Man
sauce is weak imo. no mstrkrft! no tiesto, no bisco !! and that was arguably biscos best show all year well, I guess you can always use the dvd to cut cookies...

Do we know if it's the FUSE stuff yet? A lot of these artists were shown during the best of bonnaroo FUSE thing but i'm not sure what songs were played. I forget cuz it was so long ago. Hopefully this is different footage but either way i'm still glad I got the dvd.
Wished there were more undercard tho (MGMT, Felice Brothers, Iron & Wine, wood brothers, zappa plays zappa, Phil Lesh........all were amazing shows).

The Robert Randolph "Kanye Sucks" rant and chant would've been AWESOME......................... though there could be extras bonus things we don't know about, either way something to look forward to in the grey yuck days of January
