I just got this on my facebook update....I think it is a positive sign
Sure does make it interesting... I'm wondering if this makes it more or less likely for them to be at the Roo. It really just gives you something else to think about
I dont know but I bet AC has something to do with the Asheville and Knoxville shows, so to me that makes it more likely. Thompson Boling is an awesome venue, I saw Phish there in 1995, and it was off the hook.
On one part of the Phish site it says tix for Knox go on sale Saturday the 31st. Same info on concertwire. But on another part of the Phish site is says they're on sale on the 30th which IS the same date as the other shows,

I was about to post this. I saw this last night and I had a good guess that it was AC that had booked them, if not they may not have played the roo this year. I think this makes Bonnaroo 99.9% in the bag now. ;D

Couple quick questions about live phish(website):
If I download FLAC files, they will NOT play on my IPod, correct?
Secondly, if I download them in MP3 format, can you download them right into Itunes? I know the sites a bit cheaper, but the convenience of having everything labeled properly and the Cover art, etc. (by using Itunes)and the ability to upload Itunes from the Ipod to a different Computer, is sometimes worth a couple extra bucks..

If you DL from LivePhish in mp3 into a computer folder you can then put them into itunes and they will work right away.
try this site for some good shows for free. he has a newer post that includes some of phish's greatest moments. miners picks. also i highly recommend downloading the clifford ball. its the show that got me to get into phish hardcore way way back when. the daily posts are interesting too.
some of the downloads are in mp3's so just save them to a file. most of them are in a .rar compressed file so download winrar from cnet.com or any site and extract them into a file.

I don't know if everyone saw this on PT, but its a way to find out if got tix through the lottery beforehand: Go to this URL - www.phish.tickets.musictoday.com/Phish/shopper.aspx If it asks for your email put it in, and then you have to re-enter the URL as being logged in Click Order History - If you have any receipts where it says "Total number of Receipts" Then you got tix. If not, you're with me an on your own on 1/30

Are these typically sound board recordings? I don't mind spending the $$ for good quality. I was thinking about making the Clifford ball my next phish purchase, so thanks for the recommendation

^^I have a 1 under receipt number, but a zero for total number...Does that mean I'm a loser?

No. Nobody has gotten charged or gotten an email yet and nobody's been showing that they've got a ticket under that site yet. So you still have a chance. I'd be careful though because some people were saying if you mess around with that site you can void your lottery because it may read you as placing a second order. Not sure how much truth there is to that but it's kept me from investigating. I just keep checking my account to see if it's been charged lol. And yeah definitely get the Clifford Ball. It's priceless Phish at there best. The one on Miner's site is a soundboard recording. And yeah it's great having those LivePhish shows but the sad thing is there are so many other really amazing if not better shows out there that they don't have on LivePhish.

Good news, thanks. You live in Providence? I'm a PC grad '06.
The Last time Phish played Knoxville was also the first time my wife and I went on a date. That's right, our first date was a Phish show. I know, I'm a romantic. It was over 12 years ago now. We trekked across the state with some friends, saw Phish, had a blast. Needless to say we are road-tripping to Knoxville prior to Roo to rekindle some nostalgia. Hard to believe that was over a decade ago.
It was a great show though. A few lackluster parts, but some really psychedelic licks from Trey in the opening Split. The best part of the show was the Mike's Groove. The Mike's song, in my estimation, is a precursor to the fall 97 funk. The next night's bathtub gin gets all the hype and play (or at least it used to) but this Mike's is no slouch...
11/06/96 Civic Coliseum, Knoxville, TN Set I: Split Open and Melt, Cars Trucks Buses, Fast Enough For You, Taste, Train Song, Poor Heart, Punch You in the Eye, Billy Breathes, David Bowie Set II: Wilson, The Curtain, Mike's Song> Swept Away> Steep, Weekapaug Groove, Scent of a Mule, Sample in a Jar, Funky Ann Coulter Encore: Rocky Top
I saw Phish play in Knoxville in '95 and '96. I think Col. Bruce Hampton just sat and read the newspaper at one of them. Both were fun but the acoustics were a little funky.

That was 1995 while Fishman sang Wind Beneath my Wings to him. A great show, also one of the first dates I had with my Ex-wife

Yeah man. I'm currently going New England Institute of Tech for game design. That's sweet you went to PC. I love Rhode Island. It's especially nice in the summer. This snow is kinda gross right now though.

Was a great show...I agree. Luckily I'm still married to the woman I took to that show.
