I'm going to let this live on in this thread:
I am among the legions of Bonnaroovians who are just now beginning to appreciate Phish. I'v ebeen listening to a couple of shows a Phriend burned for me as well as XM-Sirius' channel "Jam-On" which plays a lot of Phish.
Yesterday I stopped at a friend's house and shared a corndog with him, so I was feeling satisfied on my ride home. The song "Free" by Phish was on and I swear it was AWESOME. What an amazing jam. I am SO excited about witnessing this phenomenon known as Phish.
For all of you who have not been exposed to Phish we are ALL in for a major treat!
I've been listening to them roughly since 2002 and it has been a journey. Not saying it was hard to get into them but it took time. Time listening, time reading, time pondering. I'm glad that my first time seeing them will be after I've put all this 'work' into them. I will have a much better understanding of how great and meaningful the songs they play the 3 times I get to to see them this summer will be. I wouldn't have had the same understanding if I had only listened to a few songs or a whole show right before the concert.
So, enjoy, keep listening, and thinking about them. This is only the beginning for you. There will be greater things for you to experience in your listening when you 'get' some of their deeper, experiemental jams. And the first songs you like by Phish, the shorter, 'easier' songs will def not end up as your alltime favorites. There are so many layers to this band for you to discover.

So I have a question for all you Phans...do you think Shakedown St. will be bigger and better this year on account of all the Phish peeps selling their wares?
they said the show will be available within an hour or so of the show. so im guessing between 1230 and 1 it should be up. you never know what could happen though
