^^^^^^ totally agreed. i just had a premonition of trey really wanting that moment where everythings quiet. i know he enjoys that kind of wierd space in songs. but definitely some tight shit coming from my speakers right now. and what the heck happened to page? he's rippin shit like nobodys business. i think the man's happy to be back dont you guys?

If I may put on my crochety old man hat-it's a real mind-quack how far technology has come since my heyday of Phish shows. Listening to the show a few hours later...video soon to be all over the internet...pretty crazy.
Anyone pining for the past in the "my generation" thread, please understand that you wouldn't hear this show without a ticket for another couple of weeks at best and you wouldn't even know what anyone thought about it for a while...
Anyway, the first three songs were truly a statement. I have to admit, Sample feels like a bit of a letdown in this context, but they more than earned it with those first three. The tightness of Fluffhead, Divided Sky, Chalkdust truly lived up to the "back to 94-95" hype. Now I'm waiting for some more exploratory stuff...
^^^^^ technology is sweet isn't it? i'm going to school for programming and honestly imo we've barely even scratched the surface of what technology can do. that put aside. i hear you on sample. even though i love that song i think it was an odd placement. but stash! ohhhhh man. one of my all time favorites. i just about fell on the floor when i heard those opening notes. i was hoping to hear this one from them this weekend

I will still post my link in about 15 minutes in case it is easier in any way.
My attempt to upload this show in a non-torrent fashion=epic fail.
Something went wrong with my upload. It seems like Miner's is working like a charm, so I'm not gonna try again. If anyone has a problem with Miner's in the next two hours or so, let me know and I can try again.

shut out at greatwoods....im behind the stage on the eigheenth and on the floor the 19th for the dead
Not sure if I'll be able to listen before the soundboards are available, but FYI...
Back to the show...I Didn't Know probably makes me happier than anything else they could have played at this point. WELCOME BACK PHISH! (still waiting for an out there, exploratory jam, but thinking maybe that's not for tonight and that's OK).

thats so freakin crazy man. you are like number 12 of people i know who got shutout and tried really hard to get tickets. i got lucky as hell. i guess after getting shutout for hampton lottery/public onsale and then almost everything in the summer lottery the phish gods were looking out for me. pulled lawn tickets after about 35 minutes of retardedness from livenation with multiple windows open and 2 people trying. then tried for an additional hour to see if we could pull maybe a pavilion or lawn tickets to hook people up with. got nothing. then an hour and a half later it soldout. i've never seen mansfield sellout like that. and as for the dead i did presale and was going for floor tickets for my gf's birthday. should be goodtimes. not gonna be there sunday tho.

i know right!?!? man all i can think about when i hear this is how this intricately but smoothly executed new phish is going to work it's way out this summer. will trey and page create some new nuances into territories that the boys have yet to voyage into? will fish continue to beat the drums like a psuedo bonham and yet continue to rock the vacuum like nobody ever has? will cactus continue to set our minds as his target when he launches his bombs? only time will tell kids. only time will tell

k johns done, treys got the show.
does anyone think that if they started YEM over it may have been intentional/a joke? is it not their most played song ever + the one trey infamously is quoted for saying he wouldnt want to play it for the rest of his life. i was just thinking, of all songs for it to be YEM they were like oh we have to start this one over...

Still re-listening to Set I while Set II is almost done dl-ing....
I get major goosebumps when Divided Sky starts. Starting with Fluffhead is one thing, but Fluffhead, Divided Sky is just...goosebumps.
EDIT: whoah, 1000 posts...I've been here longer than all you n00bs, too. Don't trust my "as of" date. Ask a mod. I'm O.G. I'm also pretty drunk right now. I digress.
i think it is longer. trey did say they wanted to play "long sets" for people to enjoy and have fun and forget about things for awhile. and yeah i thoroughly enjoy Backwords Down The Number Line!!!!
