I looked at the map and thought I recognized the name. My grandmother was from a small town up the river - DePue. I spent sometime in the area growing up, nothing to miss.
12-22-08 First Artist Announcement for 2009 We're super excited to make our first artist announcement for 2009. Including : moe., Umphrey's McGee, Keller Williams, Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood, Girl Talk, Darkstar Orchestra and more! Check out the Artists page for full details! Don't forget - Early Bird Tickets go on sale Saturday, January 3rd!
i see on the website that it is a camping fest. Why are the latenight shows extra money? Are they on the same stages or at a different venue?
They are onsite, but because of the noise ordinance, they have to have them inside. So there's a limited capasity. Tickets for late nights were only $20 bucks last year.
Girl Talk was there last year and a lot of people seemed to enjoy it, so that's not really random. There is a barn onsite where the late nights are held. The tickets usually sell out for those, but if you get the early bird tickets (for $95) the late nights (about $20) don't make the fest too much money altogether. Summer Camp doesn't have the extras (art-type things, movies, comedians) that Bonnaroo has, but if you mostly care about the music it is a really good fest. I'll definitely be there this year.
