Pending the lineup, I really think that I'll be there.
I am not sure if I'll make it for Thursday though depends on the rate of travel that I can accomplish. Early Friday would be fine, set up camp, sleep awhile, catch an evening of music.

Yes, I did attend the Mile High MF. Decided to go only a day or two prior to the event. They were sorely missing shade in the high heat. Now, as we say here, it was a dry heat, but heat none the less.
My boy gets done with school on Tuesday, and we might leave Wednesday afternoon, drive for a few hours, sleep and make the final push to Ozark.

I'm gonna try like hell to make it. I'm not sure how it's gonna be with the wife being able to get off work for Waka and Roo back to back like that, and I may even have to make the drive from Little Rock each day. But I really can't miss this in my home state.
I'm planning to do it, even if it means flying solo to Wakarusa. I have family in Little Rock to pass the time in between the festivals so I really have no reason not to do it.

Yeah it was super hot at Mile High, and there was not much shade. But being used to the mass amounts of ppl at festivals like Bonnaroo, the small Mile High crowd was nice. I had a Denver cabbie who was totally off his rocker for sure! But i met some nice locals, that took me under their wing.... since I went solo to Mile High.
And I am thinking Wakarusa is gonna be a hit this year. So I will quit my job if I have to. ha

I am going to try to talk my husband into going. He should have a new round of days off to use up. We are pretty much right in the middle of both of these festies. It is about 5 hours from Paragould to both venues.

This idea just dawned on me today (I normally don't hang out at The Which Stage so I didn't even know about Waka moving ).
I think it may work perfectly since it's about 1/2 way between San Antonio and Manchester and would be a great way to break up the trip. I also have family somewhere in Arkansas that I could call on. Haven't seen them in forever, though, so I don't know about randomly dropping in to recover after a four day festie... hopefully they'd be cool with it

My husband and I just sent in volunteer applications to Waka....
I'm sure some of y'all could set up camp in our back yard between Waka and Roo. Our part of Ark. is not as pretty as the mountains though... we are surrounded by rice fields....

I told my boss about Waka, he grew up in Little Rock and knew about the new location from other musical festivals there over the years. Sounds like the site should be lots of fun.
I wish I had quickly bought tickets before the early allotment was sold.
The tickets don't go up that much. Next round should be like $99 + fees + camping. I'm thinking $135 to $140. You have to pay extra to camp there. Like $30 a car so its not too bad. Dear lord I am excited. Think we will get a line up next week. Curious to see how many stages they are gonna have this year.

well i live in dallas, so it would be a drive to Waka, then stay with friends in Memphis on the way to my parents in Atlanta, then up to Asheville for phish, and back to Manchester for ROO (volunteering hopefully). then memphis again after ROO, then St Louis for Phish, and either back to Atlanta to see the family or back to Dallas for a much needed shift or two at work

We are getting a cabin at Rock Island in TN like an hour outside of Manchester if you decide that Phish isn't an option. A few days of hanging out and camping for campings sake. That goes for all you guys as well. If you don't wanna drive home or stay in a hotel.
