I still think Jake Cinninger should be up on lead guitar for a superjam, he can pretty much do it all, plus has a fun voice. Pridgen backing him up on the skins would be too good to be true.
JBelles themed Superjam with Cage/Dave Grohl...and we need a goofy bassist...Claypool
This infused with guest spots from Morello/Omar/J. White(please please)
And just play balls out silly arse songs all night....from D stuff to Primus and then a super crazy Electric Uncle Sam encore
Yeah........
as much as i love claypool.......I doubt les will be playing superjam in back to back years. there will probably be some crazy combinations that people can come up with
would love to see an acoustic set with Jeff Tweedy, Lucinda Williams, Merle Haggard, Alejandro Escovedo, and Robert Earl Keen (and Nels Cline on lap pedal guitar). playing Townes Van Zandt songs. That would be the best possible Superjam for me.
"There is an ancient celtic axiom that says 'Good people drink good beer.' which is true, then as now. Just look around you in any public bar-room, and you will quickly see: Bad people drink bad beer. Think about it."
In keeping with the "themed" superjam, how about Booker T, Nels Cline, Stanton Moore, and a late addition of George Porter, Jr. doing Stax hits. Rotating singers like Al Green, Elvis Costello, David Byrne, Erykah Badu doing songs like "Respect", "hold On I'm Coming", "Engine No. 9", etc.

Me too man, he's just my bassist of choice, personally.
But I'd also like anything with Warren, especially if for some reason the Allmans don't get added, and I'm going to go ahead and say it....I'm looking forward to some Coheed with possible Warren....can't fully explain my strage love for Coheed, but with Warren, I might just wet myself

this seems feasible and spectacular at the same time

amen to this. i'd love to see jake up there if umphs ends up playing roo.
So I was looking up some info on Santogold and I stumbled upon an article mentioning her doing future work with the Beastie Boys and David Byrne! Well look at that, they all happen to be playing this year. Also she has done some stuff with Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (I mean who hasn't done stuff with that guy? Probably a lot, but TVOTR has!)
So that would be a crazy Indie-tastic superjam.
I can't even imagine what that would sound like but it seems plausible.
Depending on when the jam takes place this year I think that we will get David Byrne with mutilpe guests doing Talking Heads jams. Trey and Gordo are veterens of hostings super jams, and it just makes sence that they would play with Byrne either @ one of the Phish sets, @ Byrnes set, or the super jam

I bet Byrne will be in on it regardless of who else is there...he proves over and over that he can and will do anything with any other artist! Wishful thinking would be NIN w/Bowie..hehe...saw that rumor floating around somewhere on internet...what about The Dead with some guests...I mean Warren is already there with Mule, and isn't he touring with The Dead? There will be some Dead there - Phil never misses Roo!!! The suspense is energizing!

I also like this idea. It makes since considering Booker T backed up so many soul greats in his days with Stax/Volt.

Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Les for sure!!!! Maybe Warren H.? Can't think of any drummers that stand out, then again, I will admit I'm not yet familiar with the whole line up. Just please no Max Weinberg!
