Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
We all saw the negative backlash that Langerado got when it was found out that the Killers, Dave Matthews Band, The Dead, etc. would not actually be there and were just rumors.
It's all about perception. Having people think your festival is going to be the best, and then dissapointing them with a few less bands than they expected... gets people upset. They look toward other festivals to find those bands that they once were excited your festival was rumored to have.
However, you could have the worst festival ever. But if the media jumped on things praising how great the music was at your festival and how much better the lineup is than was planned, you will get more ticket sales.

They've always had bands that are friends who've either played in the past, could play, were rumored to play or should play. I wouldn't put a lot of stock in the friend list as an accurate lineup.
Notice that Ricky Martin, Hanson, Jonas Brothers and New Kids on the Block are also new adds. Goodness.

Yeah... but did they add them 5 days (all at once) before the lineup was to be released? Probably not.

Thanks buzzkillington. Nah im just kidding im not putting too much stock into their myspace friends either but good god it would be so awesome if some of them turned out to be true.
Operator 5011. Phone pad letters to 5 are JKL. 0 and 1 have no numbers. 52 Cards in a deck. Suicide King. 5 = KL. Kings of Leon. They get along just fine now.

Some of them will turn out to be true, so we can all be happy. Call me a victim of last year's Zeppelin rumor hype and then the huge announcement that turned out to be two nights of Panic (not that I don't like Panic, just that the announcement wasn't as big as they made it out to be).
In any case, the lineup won't disappoint, the weekend will be worth the money and we'll all have a great time again this year!

These are bands that were on this pages new friends list but were just deleted this morning...for reasons unknown
I just posted this comment on the myspace
That's kind of evil. Do we need to rub it in their face?

Oh....did Panic play another set on Monday night? I was under the impression they only played one set last year.

They started adding all the bands that definitely fit the Roo scene and are rumored to be there.
Then after they realized that people caught on and saw this - THAT is when they started to add those bands you listed..........as a way to throw us off.
If those bands were added the same exact time as NIN, Tv on the radio, david byrne, and mars volta........then i'd agree. But it seems to me that those bands were added at the end to throw off fans.

I got Return to Cookie mountain from TVotR and just could not get into it. There's a few songs I really like but others where I'm just confused as to why so many people consider it a top album of that year. To me a lot of it sounds like random noise or I just don't like the way they sing some of it........I hope they are much more interesting (to me) live.
i havent really given the new album a try but i discovered them a while back and i really enjoyed their older albums.. starring at the sun is one song that comes to mind.
TVotR are really great live. If you didn't like Return to Cookie Mountain you should try Dear Science. In my opinion its alot more accessible that Cookie Mountain.

I need to try their other albums tho.
I listend to some of it too and wasn't overly impressed. I'm gonna pick up the previous one first. I find its usually better to listen to them in the order they were recorded
