Last year it looked like they had just started painting in on the Tuesday before Roo. . . on Wednesday night it still looked pretty bare and paint was definitely still drying Thursday am. . . I hope they get started on it earlier this year and really put some work into it. It's a centerpiece, and it needs the be done the frak up.
My dream 2009 ROO fountain......um......ya might want to get on this asap! haha! It will be life-changing!!! ;D ;D
You should totally send this in to the powers that be for inspiration. While some of it might be impossible to recreate 3-D, there are some aspects that are do-able; the stairs, for instance, would be pretty amazing. . . and the ground around it.

im pretty sure thinking the mushroom was eating them may be the best thing that ever happened to them. regardless, put something more than black bugs on a white background please, ffs.

i wish it had crazy colorful stripes on it. i would totally paint the fountain. i couldn't believe they painted over the checks last year. whoever painted them was probably pissed, it had to of taken forever to paint all of them! I know they always change it but then all they added was bugs? pretty weak if you ask me. i hope they pull something together that will make up for last year. They need to hire an artist. it would be worth it, its a land mark of bonnaroo. why not make it great like the rest of the festival?

I like 07 the best! I remember meeting this guy that was dressed as a jester in black and white.....and I was like "hey don't get lost in the fountain dude!" but he thought I said "hey don't get lost in the fountain of youth" and TRIPPED OUT! ahaha! It's such a killer memory....I giggle everytime! ;D
I agree ... the black and white checks were cool and redish orange was nice.Anything but those little bugs on white.I was like huh? I want to paint it so bad. I will do it for free, with my own paint.(Are you listening bonnaroo?) This of the fountain in 2006.
