Just find the dude with a Nintendo console complete with lightgun and controller tattoo'd on his stomach if you want a real hug at the roo^ (if there is a doppleganger...I am sorry! I have yet to meet anyone with the same ink though!)

Sorry it isn't the best of quality. I don't own a digital camera; and my sister cannot find hers. So...I had to dig through the closet and find my webcam....didn't turn out too bad though.

Nope. I have a couple more tattoos too....still trying to get another one. It is quite addicting. The next one I am shooting for is a Tetris screenshot for my left arm.
i was gonna let my video game geekdom exist in one tattoo... the mario mushroom. i want it on my shoulder, just gotta figure out how to work it in with the back piece i have planned.

^oooh who isn't a sucker for curly hair?^ Just sayin. Anyway... I've lerked these boards for a few months now, ever since I bought my (first) roo ticket, just have to say I'm pretty excited. As far as being single, I'm pretty excited about that too haha. Me and a girlfriend are both single after very long term relationships and this is our wild week road trip getaway. Watch out. Less than a month!!! Counting the days...
So I had another date tonight. Headed out to dinner. He's a super mellow guy which is cool. He's a chef which is even better. He loves the outdoors. We have a bunch of stuff in common which is good. Dinner went well and we had a lot of fun. Dinner ends. He invites me back to his place. I decline. [Deja vu right? I got nervous at this point.] He was cool with it. [Yay!] He asked me for a second date and hugged me goodbye. We're meeting up next weekend to go kayaking. Hopefully the second date will go well too. :-)
So then there's this other guy who's been chasing after me. He's a mechanical engineer, loves music and is very sweet. I'm supposed to pick a concert for us to attend. We'll see how that goes.
Summer seems to get the single people crawling out of the woodwork! With any luck I'll find someone nice.
Question for the single men of the board: What is it with asking girls back to your place after the first date? It strikes me as very strange. I've never encountered this before but maybe I just don't date enough. Do all of you do it? Do you actually get any takers? Am I just super old-fashioned?
I never do it, don't wanna sound like a DB, but I dont.. for me, dates happen after we've become friends and they usually invite me over after a first date... But.. to answer your question: a) U're uber hot, and drive men crazy! b) U're super cool, and guys feel comfortable enough to tell you they want you. c) U act completely naughty and lead them on. d) U keep dating guys u're totally physically compatible with and the chemicals are just too strong. I dont know what comes after d)) The guys you date need jesus?

Oh tank. You always make me laugh.
a) I'm not uber hot. I run into at least 100 women at the gym everyday whose looks I'd kill for. I never wear dresses or skirts on a first date. I alway wear sweats, a hoodie and some sneakers. Never know when you're gonna have to kick or run. b) I'm not super cool. I'm quite dull actually. c) I don't act naughty. Topics of conversation on our date were: hiking, biking, camping, fishing, kayaking, books, gardening, philosophy. I kept 2 feet of space between us at all times in case he ended up being as psycho as the last one. Every flare I sent up screamed "I value my personal space." That's why he didn't bother trying for a kiss, he knew I would've smacked him and it would've killed his shot at a second date. d) I thought the point of dating was to date someone you were physically compatible with? ??? e) In my experience the guys who have Jesus are the dirtiest of them all.
So basically I'm just getting stuck dating all the weirdos?

I'm convinced 95% of guys are weirdos. Even if they don't seem like it at first. Hopefully eventually someone will prove me wrong... And this is a big "maybe" but maybe when a guy invites you back to his place, he really does just want to hang out some more? And that's it? Maybe? lol
^ Sorry to be negative, but 'Come to my place' hardly ever ever means let's hang out. If he wanted to hang out more then he could have asked 'Let's go for a drink' etc.

soooo I met a guy (at work?!), and he's like 10-11 years older than me. he's a cutie. and weird....in a HILARIOUS way. and I have a mini crush. how sad am I?! hahaha
how big of a role does age play in choosing someone for you people??? I know for me, it doesn't play a role at all....as long as he's older than me lol

No, not really. I wish I was really that naive, then maybe dating wouldn't be so frustrating lol. I think most guys think they might as well try. The worst she could say is no. Worth a shot. Too bad they don't realize it's a turn off, and definitely makes things a little awkward after a fun date. I also think if a girl wants to go back to a guys place, she'll make it very clear. There's really no reason to ask! The woman holds the trump card, when will they learn?

I think everyone may have different motives based on the situation. It should be pretty easy to see. Also what if the guy in question said..."Hey I need your help...come back to my place?" Then you would obviously say "No!" His real motive would be only that he wanted you to see his brand new tent....and how it flawlessly repels water. Haha....sorry I am drunk rambling and I wanted to just throw that out there! I set up my new tent today...and waterproofed it. Then took it down and went through the day normally. After a day of corn, hackey sack, and some drinks we (me and one of my buddys coming with me to bonnaroo this year) set that beast up in 5 minutes in the dark. Then the rain came and i threw the rainfly up......worked fine all except the vent holes we left open like idiots! But anyway...what if the guy in question just wanted to show you his cool tent? Would you ditch him then? I will post a couple pics tomorrow if I remember!
So like, if we're single, we're suppose to whore ourselves out in this thread and hope to get some action at Bonnaroo? Is that what this thread is? Fuck it, I'm down.

I think this is actually turning into the "bash all guys because almost all of them are scumbags, even the cool ones who go to festivals and are actually sensitive, responsible, caring human beings, all they really want is a piece of ass and we all know it because we are all goddesses who never do or say a wrong thing" thread.
Seriously guys what is going on?? Where do you poor ladies live that you are surrounded by such scum? I invite ladies over sometimes after a date (hah not that I've actually had a date in recent memory, most women prefer scumbags apparently haha..) and you know what we do? We watch a movie. Or we sit on my front porch and drink a beer. Or we start a fire in the back yard and talk for a little while. Then she usually goes home. That's all. I don't start groping and grabbing and getting demanding and hateful. I have to wonder about you ladies' choice in guys if this is really such a problem. No friend of mine would ever even CONSIDER behaving in a manner such as you describe. I'm not saying they aren't out there - they are all over the place - but they can also be avoided.
I have a very good friend, Andrea, who I've known for a good part of my life. We drink and go out and party together, just regular old buddies. However, she seems to make the stupidest choices when it comes to guys. It's like she's blind to their faults, even when they are glaringly obvious to me. I'm starting to think this is a common problem among females. I tell her every time "this is what is wrong with this guy, it's obvious, why do you keep seeing him, etc.." and she's like "you have a problem with everybody I date" and then, within a month or three, she's broken it off with them for the very same reason that I stated, and once again I get to say "told ya so".
Anyway, enough ranting, I just got tired of the entire focus of the mingling thread being against all guys. We aren't all bad. Some of us are bad. Some women are just as bad. I think most of us on Inforoo are pretty solid dudes and dudettes. :]

^^^^ladies, avoid this one unless you want some serious baggage lol
I fail to see the connection between anything I said and 'having serious baggage'. I do have a problem with all guys getting a bad rap for the actions of a few douchebags, and frankly so should you. Oh.. oh. I think I get it. Nevermind. Continue whoring yourself, bro.
Sometimes I wonder why I ever try to say anything of substance on the internet. hah
