It isn't playing this year that I have seen....howeverrrrrrrr they are playing "The Never Ending Story" On Saturday morning at 8:30 lol
I'm there.
My prime sleeping hours may be taken over by the Cinema tent. This and the overnight Ghostbusters screening (which I'm not sure is still definitely happening) are perfect.

They are doing a screening of Groundhog Day dedicated to Harold Ramis. Which is awesome.
Yea, that and Caddyshack were part of the 3-movie series they were going to do this year but we don't have the full 24 hour schedule yet so I'm not sure if they're still doing all of that.

Save me a seat! I will totally go see it with you! I <3 that movie, I actually had a dog named Falcor growing up and he looked just like the dragon.
Ghostbusters was a huge part of my childhood. I'm a huge fan of the sequel even though so many people hate it.
I'm sorry. What are some of your other favorite childhood movies? I'm sure I haven't seen them either...
Here is a quick list of "classics" I've never seen: Top Gun Indiana Jones (all) Die Hard (all) Footloose Dirty Dancing The Princess Bride Rocky Horror Pretty In Pink When Harry Met Sally Pretty Woman Schindler's List Shawshank Redemption
There's a lot more, but I'm drawing a blank... I just saw Gremlins, Lost Boys, & Goonies for the first time within the past year.
dammit. of course this would top the page. and yes, I'm aware those last 2 aren't 80's movies, but I get a lot of shit for not seeing those too so I included them.

Some of those are good movies but some are really classics that you NEED to watch.

Yes, yes, I know... I get a lot of shit for having not seen all of these movies. I really have no excuse for some of them... others just aren't my type of movie.

you can scrap that whole list and just replace it with Time Bandits...
nope never seen it. I've never even heard of that one actually. I have seen Logan's Run though. Sounds like they could be similar.
tronik, there's lots of things to be jealous of, but my lack of movie viewing isn't one of those things. I've been mercilessly taunted because of this topic in the past. Then everyone pulls out their favorite movies and tells me how much I'm missing out. Lol.

Independence Day is just never the same after you watch it over a 100 times (I'm pretty convinced of this figure).

I saw Independence Day at the drive in for the first time. And we stayed to watch it twice because Data was in it.
