And Bek, some unsolicited advice... When I ref games, I don't involve players in that game in the death stories.
I know you're probably not happy with me for what I've sprung on you with my loophole and everything, but don't bring it into the game.
You're the ref - you're supposed to be neutral in this, right?
first of all, did you even read the story? Let's recap... you perform an act of chivalry to try and save meg who falls from a tree and kills NBF. How is that bad for your behalf??
And why are you convinced that I am mad at you about something? As a neutral referee I told you and everyone else that worrying about a typo in a PM is pointless and irrelevant to the game.... you are welcome.
and let me say that I have never once smited you because I don't believe in smiting, I only give karma BUT I be damned if I'm gonna give to your "give me karma because I act like an ass" charity drive.
It's called four hours of sleep and eight hours of work...so stifle it.
Now with all that being said I know you guys are dying for an update but you're not gonna get one. At this stage in the game, I believe it to be critical that the referee does not post an obituary until everyone has logged in. so there...

I'm not saying that story, per se, is bad on my behalf. I still don't think that including a game's players in the death stories is good, regardless of who it is. Players will read into which player the Ref chose (or chose not to) include whether there was any intent or not. That's why I think doing so is a dicey endeavor. Not because you included me, but because you included a player, period. Notice that when I write death stories, I include Boz - who I don't think has ever played Mafia - or Meg, who's been more of an observer than a participant the last few games.

I didn't want the karma! Since I was confining most of my posts to the Mafia thread, I had started viewing my karma as something like a public opinion poll based on what I was saying. I thought it was solely Mafia smiting when I pointed that out, but since then others have given me karma and thrown that all off. Pointing that out ruined the purposes for which I'd been watching my karma in the first place.

Coming back to her campsite after the late night show, Sadie is happy to see that her loud neighbors are still gone. She plops down in her favorite camping chair, the one with the drink holder, and props her feet up on the cooler. She sits back, closes her eyes, and takes a deep breath. She hears a noise from the woods, but she's too tired to care. As the noise gets louder, she opens her eyes and looks around, but she doesn't see anything. She hears a noise again, this time from behind her. She spins around, but there's nothing there. She's starting to get a little freaked out, so she gets up and starts to walk back to Centeroo, hoping to find some of her friends. Unfortunately, she doesn't make it back to the main path before a guy in a gorilla costume runs screaming up to her, smacks her in the head with a giant didgeridoo, and then beats her to death with it. The gorilla guy runs off, leaving Sadie lying in her favorite camp chair.
Day four has begun...
Left to play: Handgunhips Kelaroo Rooconteur RonBurgandy Kdogg Fishingmaniac Higgi
Mafia? (in order of likelihood) Rooconteur Kelaroo Higgi
If anyone who's not on that Mafia list dies tonight, I think all the Townspeople/Innocents should go after those three (in order) with a vengeance. I don't think whacking one person on this list automatically discredits the other two; rather, I think it will root out the one of those three that's not Mafia.
i agree with this.
I don't think the Mafia took me up on my dare. I was trying to put them in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation and it doesn't seem to have worked. Three suspects for two roles is better for their survival. I still stand by that list.
I think they whacked her because they knew she & I would vote the same way in Day Four, but spared me because I appear more guilty to more players than she did.

well I thought it was a nice thing to do... I thought we were playing a game, not paying our taxes...
*EDIT* btw I went back and changed the NBF death story for you.
If that typo were "pointless and irrelevant," I would not have done what I did. Wouldn't you agree?
I think we all know by now that I never agree with you.
Kdogg you have confused me as much as I have confused you during this game. I think we are both innocent. I've gt your back.
I am voting with you. I vote Rooconteur.
However, I would like to note that I am very suspicious of HGH. Pander that and get back to me.
And I've got yours. I was overly harsh to you & Sadie back there, and I should apologize to you both.
I noted your suspicion of Handgun. I assume that's what you were saying back there when you told me to reread your posts. If I read you between the lines correctly, voting Handgun might be something of a double-edged sword. You said there was an alternative to her being Mafia. I see that too, and I've been trying to skirt around that with some of what I've been saying. I'm not yet sure enough either way to call her out, but I do see what you're saying.

No apology necessary. That being said, you think too much. My clues lead to something much simpler. You are not seeing them.
Fishingmaniac pointed out what he saw to me, but I think he's onto something. I'm glad he did, because that's what finally got me seeing through his chaotic means and believing he was probably innocent.
If Fishingmaniac is correct, you are either the Inspector or you are Mafia. Your persistence in voting for Higgi was part of what was making me think you were probably the Inspector instead of Mafia; it's also a big part in why Higgi's still on my list. I've been thinking that you've been the Inspector, but I kept pushing Bama/Jack in hopes of not endangering you. I'm not so sure if that was the right course of action anymore, since Fishing keeps pressing the issue.
He got me thinking about it. You were excessively flattering me in round one. You said I'm a good player, which when I think about it... if you were Mafia, you'd want to butter up the player you felt to be the biggest threat.
I thought of this just now, and a little light bulb appeared over my head. My Tara vote-stacking theory was looking at people who had stacks of votes in the final tally. It didn't take into account the fact that plenty of people were voting for you in that first round, too. I can see why you would've had incentive to make Tara look like Mafia - it would make you appear innocent. That also would explain why you were a big proponent of the Bama/Jack-as-Inspector line of thinking. To distract us. I hereby rescind your First Degree Innocent status. I'm not sure what you are at this point...
If you're truly the Inspector, as I was thinking, you surely have a story to tell... and I'm calling you out on it.
Lay out your scenario for the group. Whose name you received at the beginning of the game, who you asked for each Night and the answers you found. I think we need to evaluate your scenario for ourselves.
If we think it's good, I'm in favor of asking the Nurse to protect you tonight. If we think it's bad, I think maybe you're the one who needs to be run out of town.
