Ok, we've got quite a while left till roo, and we're still waiting on the lineup... and I'm bored.
We used to play a game called Mafia in an IRC channel I used to frequent, and I'm told the game can also be adapted for forum play.. which sounds like it could be fun and consume some of our time.
Ok, heres how its going to work. We have 5 peeps now, 7 would be nice so we can have an inspector..
At the start of each game I'll draw for each person and PM them their role. if we have 7 people, there will be 1 inspector, 2 mafiosi, and 4 citizens. If you are a mafiosi, I'll tell you who the other mafiosi is so you can chat with them via pm. Do not discuss your roles in the thread.
Heres a paste from a website about the game, edited slightly: The Mafia has infiltrated the general population. Ordinary innocent citizens are known as citizen and they know nothing except that the Mafia is a bad thing, and that all Mafiosi should be killed. This must happen democratically, so every day there is held a public vote for a player that shall be executed and put out of play.
One untouchable called "The Inspector" aids the public in the quest against the Mafia, and this person works undercover, slowly identifying new Mafiosi, thus being able to influence the public opinion in the right direction. On the other hand, the Mafiosi cooperate in order to confuse and misdirect the outcome of the public votings in order to have innocent citizens killed instead of themselves. In addition, the Mafia kills a player every night.

Ok, all 7 players have their identities in their PM mailboxes.. As soon as the mafiosi let me know who to reveal to the inspector, the first vote starts, and someone dies...
