Ben Folds decided to go all out for his Bonnaroo performance. He's brought Wayne from the Flaming Lips, fresh from a sneak preview screening of Christmas On Mars, onto the stage to join him in covering "She Don't Use Jelly." But the extra mile doesn't stop there. Ben has brought along a rotating platform to bring both he and his piano above the crowd while playing - Tommy Lee style. It went off without a hitch during rehearsal, but it all goes haywire during his set. There's a small pop and slight cloud of smoke before the platform falls, crushing aespsg and several bystanders beneath a splintered grand piano. Ben Folds manages to survive the incident with scrapes and bruises. After coming to the farm to identify aespsg's body, her Uncle Walter swears this wouldn't have happened if he were president.
Mafia: PM me vote & death story. Inspector: PM me your guess.
Boz was getting worried. He hadn't seen Meg since she left for the bathroom that morning. After nearly an hour and a half, he set out to search for her himself. He walked to the closest rancid line of port-a-potties, but did not find her. When he got there, the OUT OF ORDER sign written in dripping rust colored paint on the last one caught his eye. His heart skipped a beat. He had overheard Meg talking about the Bonnaroo Mafia. Over the past couple days she had told several stories of gruesome deaths inflicted on members of Inforoo. Slowly he approached the door, and stood watching flies crawling through the paint. He never opened the door. Whatever was inside, he didn't want to see it. He would later be the one to identify the remains inside as those of his beloved wife, Meg.
almostcertain hasn't been on in three days. wooz has been absent and then came back and the game went real fast. hmmmm...no brainer? or is almostcertain being sneaky?
Almostcertain has been on today - she just did not post

im confused too...5:33pm is after the mafia's story. we know that two of us are townspeople and one is not. based on if the mafia out numbers us the game would be over correct?
both of you have not been that active. it just seems to me that this thread only became reactive when wooz came back from the weekend. and all of a sudden too. you did log on within the same hour so its hard for me to tell. my gut says wooz so i'm gonna stick with it. if you're a townsperson and you vote for me, watch for him to jump on me too cause he'll win.
wooz, you don't seem to be makin' an arguement at all.
Guys, pardon me if im a bit pissed, but you can't accuse me just cause I'm busy as hell at the moment.
Listen up: The reason the game was stalled was because my public vote had not been cast, I was out most of the weekend. You cannot use that to say I was mafia, as that was a public vote.
I'm voting for sammy.

It's been an excruciatingly long weekend, and wooz is exhausted. He dozes off in some shade while catching a mid-afternoon set. When he awakens, he finds himself bound and gagged in a dark place. He's able to struggle, but nobody notices. They just see a head bobbling and assume it's business as usual at Bonnaroo. He's discovered during the post-Bonnaroo clean-up, but by then it's too late...
The game is over. Back in a moment with the recap.

Dear citizens...
next time someone is hacked after saying they have a hunch about a person being the mafia, pay attention to who they voted before the round they got hacked

much love, the once breathing inspector
Strum - I paid attention to you
and Sammy - I tried - by pointing out to you when almostcertain was online - which I think was kinda against the rules - but in my defense - it was really hard not to respond after you said "5:33pm is after the mafia's story" - I really wanted to point out to you that it was actually before the mafia story was posted.

you guys have no idea how close I came to breaking the rules multiple times by posting things that a dead person isn't typically capable of posting...
luckily I had handgunhips to discuss the game with, or else i may had squealed as well, Meg
oh, and pertaining to cajun's theory about the inspector voting for someone that was mafia in the first round... well, personally I feel it puts a giant bullseye on your forehead when you seemingly "randomly" guess the mafia with your first vote so atleast the two times that I've been inspector i never vote for the person I know is mafia immediately.

I had some suspicions about that post, but ultimately figured it was OK. The information shared was generally available to anyone on Inforoo. I did not think it lead "to any knowledge, suspicions or opinions" Meg had. Instead, I saw it as more of a clarification.
We really need to adjust some rules here.... The mafia always seem to win
That we do... I've mulled over a few possibilities in my head, but I'm not sure how they'd play out. I'll throw a few out there, though...
1. Expand the roster to 13, but keep the same number of assigned roles. 2. Two Inspectors, operating independently of one another, unaware of each other's identity. Or perhaps one - but not both - aware of the other Inspector's identity, with Inspectors prohibited from contacting one another outside the thread. 3a. Two guesses for the Inspector on Night Two. (I did that this game, but since Strum got whacked that night I can't tell if it would have made a difference.) 3b. Citizens may cast votes for two fellow players during one round of play, preferably an early one. 4. Some kind of Inspector veto power over a vote, or maybe some kind of "last words" statement from the Inspector as/after they die. 5. A four day/night cut-off. Bonnaroo only lasts four days, after all... If the mafia don't outnumber citizens by the cut-off, call it a draw. If the citizens haven't killed off all the mafia by the cut-off, call it a draw.
The main problems I'm noticing: 1. The Inspector role doesn't really much teeth. 2. By the time the Townspeople start figuring things out, they're outnumbered and it's game over.

don't be pissed wooz, its a hard game w/o alot of things to point us in the right direction. little things that may not really matter in this paticular case were the only things that i had to go on. both of you guys were absent for awhile. soooo... i gave you a chance to explain but you just voted. you shoulda put up a fight, i woulda easily reconsidered knowing the situation. i was teetering anyway.
