wait... just remembered, we didn't put a limit on vote changes did we? we just said you can't change ur vote to null? sorry
No I don't think we made any changes at all to the rule regarding vote changes. As far as I know we can still null our own vote, but it does have to be un-nulled before the deadline ends. k-dizzle can correct me if I'm wrong...
In the meantime... my vote goes out to bamadancer just because sadie voted for bamabelle and I just love to make things confusing for everyone

Also because I'm leaving this afternoon for Memphis and don't know if I'll be back on tonight, I'm going to go the alphabetic route and vote for the first name.. ajalfon.
im voting for strum cause he voted for me last game in the first round and it got me killed.
i'm assuming since this logic is based on a previous game that the vote will either not matter or you'll end up changing it to someone else based on information from this game, so i'll hold off on my defense on that until i deem it necessary

It is my understanding that we've imposed a time limit to keep votes from being left open indefinitely. A vote does not have to be un-nullified by the time limit; voting will simply close without the null voter choosing another player. If there's a situation in which a null voter could decide the round, the matter of extending time is up to the Referee per Rule #9.
Some input on the rules I put in would be appreciated. I kinda wrote them on the fly just to get this game started.
ajalfon you need to change your name, the only reason i can think of is alphabetical. i'm just tryin' to keep this game movin' and i was drawin' a blank on anything else. sorry homie.

Kdogg-- I think the time limit is an excellent idea.. it will keep the game from dragging on for incredibly long amounts of time. As well, it'll make people vote sooner because of the negative outcome if they don't. I like anything that keeps the game from being at a stall.
Also, for clarification because I'm confused-- it IS +1 if someone doesn't vote? What about if the mafia doesn't meet their time limit? What did we decide was going to happen then?
I don't know how well the inspector change will help out - - I guess after it is seen in use this round, we'll know if it actually does anything different for the inspector.
"We're no longer called Sonic Death Monkey. We're on the verge of becoming Kathleen Turner Overdrive, but just for tonight, we are Barry Jive and his Uptown Five. "

There is no +1. I had proposed counting a vote against any player that did not vote within 24 hours, but I thought we agreed instead that votes won't count after 24 hours. We aren't using the +1 approach so it's not an issue. If a player doesn't vote within 24 hours, their vote doesn't count. If Mafia doesn't choose a victim within 24 hours, their attack is a misfire and doesn't count. The Inspector doesn't have their own special 24 hour rule, because they are no longer making guesses.
Well for now I guess I'll vote for Sadie since she voted for me since i have no better reason to vote for anyone else at this point ??? I hate first round voting....nothing atall to go on...
Reasons for voting given in the Redux thread: wooz: "I'm voting ajalfon. Sorry man." cajun: "Man, these votes are all over the place.... I'm strongly tempted to vote for wooz, meg or purple since they are the only ones not voted for BUT I'm feeling a little sorry for ajalfon since he got voted off first in the last game. I'd hate to be voted off first two games in a row. Let's even it up a bit. I vote for Carpe." cupcake: "im gonna vote randomly for bamabelle"
With that, we entered a tiebreaker round between ajalfon & carpe...

I'm gonna have to vote ajalfon. He had a clear chance at saving himself but didn't take it... Instead just said "You can't vote me off first again, I'm not mafia... just look at last time" (rough quotation since actual post is temporarily gone)
I have a wild and crazy conspiracy that it's somehow possible (however unlikely and improbable...) that we randomly pegged two mafia members on the first vote. Ajalfon clearly could have saved himself by changing his vote top carpe, thus breaking the tie, but this would've resulted in the loss of carpe. If he was a citizen, why would he care about carpe's life. If only ajalfon was mafia he definitely would've switched to carpe as well... And if ajalfon is the inspector and just sticking to his vote because he knows that who he voted for is mafia... well that's just wrong, and I can prove that at the end of the game
i didnt want to have to change my vote strum cause it wouldnt have served any purpose, carpe changed his vote to me anyways (and would have if i had changed my vote to him, still leaving me in trouble, i tried a different method cause i changed it last time but still got the boot) so i was trying to get other people to change their vote,
Technically, you can't "change" your vote to carpe. We are in a tie-breaker, which is a separate vote. I'll still count you as voting for carpe here, unless you object.
crap, i didnt know we had a tie breaker otherwise i would have changed my vote.....i didnt know the game was moving so fast since we were in the time warp....crap for me
