i don't believe there is a radiohead song that i don't love. i voted for lucky, paranoid android, street spirit, exit music and idioteque. but damn there are so many. talk show host!
Its so hard to choose, Radiohead has maybe the best catalouge top to bottom of any artist for me. If I had to pick a favorite though it would be How to Dissapear Completley. Its absolutley perfect and sends chills down my spine even after hearing it hundreds of times probably.

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
I just voted and I can't remember what I voted for! I definitely put Paranoid Android and You and Whose Army? in there. I think having seen them at Roo has skewed my opinion of what I think is their best stuff because songs that I really liked before became tearjerkers afterward. The look on Ed's face at the end of Karma Police will be etched on my brain for a long time, that's for damn sure.

and two write ins: Weird Fishes/Arpeggi Videotape (Most emotional response. Doesn't matter if I'm walking to class, laying around, or about to go to sleep, this song gets me every time.)

After reading the thread title my immediate thought was "Paranoid Android". I struggled to pick four other songs that were notably superior to the norm. It's no surprise that PA is winning here. It's their anthem; it's their legacy. It encapsulates Radiohead, in every sense, as well as any single song ever could. And it's easily one of the most brilliantly written songs of the modern era.

Brilliant song! Better post than I could have written. CRUNCHY! I'd just like to add that if I start with this thread, I have to think for a bit about other songs I would add as a competitor for best modern era song I've ever heard. Not to mention the video. I cannot say there is a contemporary for PA when the vid is taken into account.
at APW when they did lucky, i seriously floated above the crowd, into the night sky, into one of the happiest moments of my life.
That's an awesome feeling.
I remember coming down from the clouds at Bonnaroo during House of Cards, suddenly becoming really aware of everyone experiencing this great moment together, a great feeling.
chills.
you gave them to me
going to roo because i wanted to see radiohead play to that many people was one of the best music related decisions of my life. not just because that show was as legendary as we are describing, but because it opened my eyes to a much larger world of festies, bands, lifestyles, and good people.
