Hate that they conflict with Femi Kuti, but I'll be at this show, without question... PE is probably my favorite hip hop group of all time, and they've released some AMAZING records.
Are people really going to skip Phish to see Public Enemy?Mind blown!
OH HELL SMURFIN' YEAH! ;D ;D ;D
I'm staking out my spot right for this right after David Byrne ends. Nothing against Phish - but one set will be enough for me. To be honest, I'm actually glad Public Enemy is up against Phish, because it'll thin out the crowd a whole lot.
Different strokes for different folks, though - I sincerely hope all you Phish fans have as amazing a time at their set as I will have at Public Enemy.
I am definitely going to tear myself away from the phish show for a little bit for public enemy. I have been into them for ages and have never seen them. It will at least satisfy my curiosity and may turn out to be a great show.

Not trying to debate about what show is going to be better for personal preference is exactly that, BUT It'll be interesting to see how many people leave Phish to go elsewhere after they've had an hour to grab people's attention. This is kinda the way Coachella does it and I'm pretty certain it'll be more like Paul's show than the Killers (where everyone stayed and the other stages were empty whereas The Killers hemorrhaged attendance all night).

Well I wish I could see some Public Enemy... but i'll be dancing my ass off at crystal castles... why the hell did they schedule it that way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i saw public enemy at rock the bells in NY in 07 and it was awesome. scott ian even came out and played bring the noise with them
i was there too! i remember during PE i felt like i was going to faint so i went to a concession stand to get water, and of course while i'm back there is when scott came out and did bring the noise. still awesome though
I'm definitely cutting out of Phish to check out PE. Like a lot of others here, I've wanted to see them for a long time. Plus, there's also Sunday's unopposed set.
Can I get a f'n hell yeah for the Lunar stage? Sharam? Crystal Method?Kaskade? Timo Maas? Superfly just hit it outta tha' park for me....just too bad some didn't know sooner. so happy.
PE was hands down one of my must see acts of the festival till they were put up against Phish. I fully understand everyone who is glad there are alternatives to Phish, but for me... after all these years of going to Roo and dreaming Phish would be there, NOTHING will pull me away from that stage. There arent enough wild horses in all of TN to drag me from either Phish show. Although I am sorta hoping Phish cuts it @ 2 so I can see some Girl Talk. hahaha Im selfish and wanna see it all.
HAHAHA What is Flav lip synching??? When he say Yeah Boyyeee. If over the hill were a bad thing then you wouldnt be seeing more than half the music.
There are a couple songs that Flav raps on. "A Letter To The New York Post" is one of my favorites and Chuck D only really does the chorus. I'm not sure if they do that one anymore though.
PE is probably my most anticipated show at Bonnaroo.
