Will be donning the Flav outfit once again just like I did last year! This is amazing! I am beyond happy...now if we can get Anthrax on stage with them for Bring the Noise, I can die a happy man!

Dude, I seriously can't concentrate on anything but bonnaroo right now. . .It's to the point where I'm poking myself in the eye with foreign objects. . . I think I just need to be sedated until Tuesday. . . . Dystopian Dream
Public Enemy are set to appear on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon tonight, where they will play “Bring the Noise” with house band the Roots. The Philly hip-hop group are also set to back PE later in the year when they embark on further U.S. dates to perform the entirety of It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back, including the Roots’ June 6th picnic.
Public Enemy With The Roots on Jimmy Fallon March 16th On the Jimmy Fallon Show Public Enemy combine to close out the show with The ROOTS, playing a scorching rendition of Bring The Noise. Its a prelude to PE playing on THE Roots Picnic Festival in Philadelphia on Saturday June 6th. Word has it set for a possible key recording in the near future.
so twice mention the june 6th date. so just one week for they are together. man we gotta get The Roots this year, the stars are just aligning perfectly for it.
First Jimmy Fallon(who i was not happy about) is there and they just so happen to be his house band. Then they are going on tour with Public Enemy who just so happened to also be added today!
man if we get The Roots, ill just so happen to overlook the fact the bonnaroo brought Jimmy Fallon.
when i saw PE at rock the bells in 07 i enjoyed the show untill Flavor Flav tried to turn the whole show about him and made everyone listen to him try and play the drums.. He then got his whole family unstage and introduced everyone. Now this was when he had his tv show so maybe thats why he was so full of himself but i hope he doesnt bring that crap to the farm...
This show is going to be fucking insane, especially with The Roots potentially backing them up. I saw that performance on Fallon, as well as some footage from their show at Pitchfork last year, and they can still bring it

Please do not compare Kantye (pronounced can't yea) to Public Enemy. Chuck D. alone has more presence than that premadonna will ANYDAY! I expect their set to perhaps be one of the highlights of the whole festival!
Besides...if we can get Anthrax on stage with them, I promise your face will offically meet melt off status!

I completely and 100% disagree, but to each his own. You really can't compare Public Enemy and Kanye like that though - they're pretty much at polar ends of the hip hop spectrum. That's like saying "I don't enjoy My Chemical Romance, so therefore I won't like The Cure."
And on that note, let me just say FLAAAAAAAAAVA FLAAAAAAAAAAV!
and for the record, that comment was not meant to compare the two musically. I was comparing them in terms of how I think their show will turn out. I can see it being disastrous because of ole Flavor Flav. Lyrically, Kanye is awful, I think we all know this.....PE's lyrics (minus Flavor Flav, cause his lyrics are awful and his only point in the group is the "hype" man) are much better. I know this. I've watched a fair amount of live footage and it just seems like a joke. Simply my two cents, but please don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.....
It's not like I said, "I don't like Kanye, that must mean I'm not going to like Snoop..." I love me some Snoop, and I think Snoop is gonna put on a 10x better show than PE. And for the record, I think Kanye's first record is terrific, but the guy is still a Summers breeze.....

"I just got fragged by a non-working speak." 5 Roo's and counting

I have seen PE twice granted not in the past 10 years but twice none the less. I have seen Snoop 3 times and he sounds like garbled hogwash compared to PE. That doesnt mean I dont like Snoop(I have went to see him 3 times). Just means that from what I have seen he doesnt put his all into a performance the way Chuck D does.
I've never listened to 'em.... but I really don't know how I feel about Flava Flav
Flav's awesome, he's just crazy. That's how he ended up with that crappy show. He's nuts. He's kinda like the Ol Dirty Bastard, when you say he's crazy it isn't like "yeah that guy's wild," he's actually crazy.

Ahhh nice ODB reference. I see now. Maybe I'll check it. It's just the only experience I've had with Flava Flav is the awful bits of reality TV I've caught. Was most definitely a turn off. I appreciate the insight though

^This guy knows what he is talking about.
I have no idea why you are all excited for a washed-up hip-hop act. Yes, they were once a great act. Now they are over the hill and well past their prime.
Just so everyone is clear:
You are aware that Flavor Flav is lip-syncing these days, right? I mean, if you are down with that I'm sure there is still time to book Ashlee Simpson too.
