Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
The field closest to Teine and I (BFE Pods 12 and 13) was bushhogged this weekend. I imagine that all the other fields will soon follow as this is about the time when they get going.
Also, I noticed this weekend that they have brought in a couple of those office type trailers they use. There are two of them stationed inside the main enterace that just showed this weekend.
This is it guys, this is the official beginning of the set up phase of roo. When the come in to bushhog the fields, everything else soon follows.
Y'all know I will be getting you some pictures as the site progresses.
I just thought y'all might be interested in knowing that they are already working on it!
I'm glad I don't live close enough to watch. I'm excited enough just hearing about it. If I was there I'd probably just sit at my window all day and watch the grass grow. (And likely climb the fence at night and run naked through the fields.)

Bushhogging always did get me a little worked up..... hey, can you tell me if the "pods" are usually marked by numbers like that or labeled by their map names, such as the various James Bond campsites?

I was at this year's site for the US Open (Oakmont near Pittsburgh) this weekend, and they were putting up tents and getting things together, and I said to my girlfriend that I had to believe Roo was starting to get the property in shape for visitors around now. Sure enough...they are. Great news!
i'm going where the sun keeps shining, thru' the pouring rain, going where the weather suits my clothes. backing off of the north east wind, sailing on summer breeze, and skipping over the ocean like a stone.

Both actually. Well not really. The areas, as far as I know, do not have any kind of "real world" signage to display the camp name (like Camp Shooter McGavin), but all of them are marked by "Pods". The pod number will be displayed on a big balloon flying real high above the pod.
Pods 12 & 13, last year, were the farthest away from Centeroo, way out on the northeast side of roo.
For those of you who were out there, if you remember the neighborhood across the street, that is where I live....

I have to say this is the first time the bushhogging of a field ever got me excited!!! ;D Yet another first thanks to Bonnaroo!
Yea Im not even quite sure what bushhooging is but I know I like it.....
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

Hopefully they do a better job with the bushhogging this year! Last year, at our campsite, our grass was seriously knee high. It got to be quite itchy!
But this is great news! Only 37 more days! Hot damn!!

^I reccomend making a floor with tarps... or everyone start drinking, dance around, and mash it down quickly.
I like the way you think my friend. After carefully caulculating your two suggestions, I have decided to go with the latter, as that sounds like more fun.
I'm assuming they'll need to mow em again before the roo.. this pass is probably to get rid of the insanely high tall grass
They won't....This will be the only mow the fields get. After the farm is mowed, they will spend the next two weeks or so, rolling and bailing it.
After that, all the equipment will start rolling in.

I wil try to get some on the way home from work today so you guys can see what it looks like right now, which is an empty farm with tractors and bush hogs.
But if y'all really want to see it, I will get a few pics this eve....
