Woooooohoo, great game for the Pens tonight! Flower really stepped it up which they really needed - seems like he's been a little lackluster lately and they need him in top form. And the rest of the team stepped it up too - especially in the first two games they were just not being aggressive enough at all, constantly hanging back from the puck, but they were all over tonight...lots of scoring chances!
REALLY hoping for Pens in 6 so I can see it before 'roo! I don't want to miss the look on Hossa's face when his former teammates lift the cup without him!

I would love to see the Pens raise the cup once again.
With the Hossa situation. I never blamed him at all for leaving for the Red Wings. The man wants to win a cup and they were the best bet to win it. Still would be nice to rub it in if the Pens win. LOL
so, if we go to game 7, the cinema tent should show it, right? i just read the blurb about it a couple days ago & it says they show the weekends biggest sports events. what other big sports stuff's going on? basketball? i don't watch much basket or baseball
Yep they sure do and if you knew much about hockey you would know Nashville was the only team in the Playoffs last year to give the Wings a run for their money. The Preds took games 3 and 4 when they Pulled Hasek and put Osgood in...they never looked back.
Pens fans need to chilax and wait till they win a game in Detroit to start freaking out. Datsyk has been hurut and Lindstrom isnt 100%. They are yet to play a great full 60 minutes and when they do.. they win.
I DO think the Pens have a 40% chance to win this series. (when you have 2 of the top 5 players in the world you should)
I do want the Wings to win but as a hockey fan i am excited to see a good series. I am a Crosby > Ovechkin guy and Malkin is unREAL as well.

Whoa dude slow your roll....if you didnt notice it was joke. Dont jump into a thread 6 pages in and act like I dont know what Im talking about. And Im pretty sure none of the Pens fans are "freaking out" have you followed the thread? Just happens that Pittsburgh has very passionate fans and this goes for the Steelers as well.
"jump" into a thread? lol..(wish you knew how much i love and know about sports..especially Hockey)..Yes i know all about passionate fans and willingly admit that the steelers (pittsburgh) fans are some of the most loyal and passionate in all of sports.
And a 6 page thread about the NHL playoffs on INFOROO doesnt speak for all of the Pens fans across the globe. I happen to know a lot of them and most of them ARE freaking out..and IMO the series doesnt start into the road team wins a game...but enough of the bad vibes.....good luck to you the rest of the series.. i apologize for offending you and your "hockey knowledge".

I don't necessarily blame him for leaving, but I didn't like the comments he made about it - he said something about how the Pens were a good team but it's all about winning. It's not as if he left a bad team for the Wings, he left the team that lost in the finals. I find it a bit egotistical or something that that still wasn't good enough for him and he had to jump ship to the team that actually won. But mostly I just think it's in poor taste for him to say so publicly like that.

^^^^^^ I agree with what your saying completely. I never thought we would have a chance to sign him anyway, but it did look like we were going to get him. I understand why he did it, but he could of left the comments to himself.

You didnt offend me or my hockey knowledge....you made a comment acting like I dont know what Im talking about, Its cool I dont need to prove myself or my hockey knowledge. You love sports as I love sports. However Ill agree inforoo isnt a great representation of Pens fans just as the handful you know probably arent the best representation. I live in Pittsbugh, bleed black and gold, are around the largest concentration of Pens fans and Im pretty sure none of them are freaking out. But like you said enough with the bad vibes....its a hockey night in Pittsburgh!!

This is a very exciting series. I have to say that I expect the Wings to pull it off in seven. They can't ever just make it easy for me and sweep a playoff/finals series. Damn them.
Hope so considering i will not see a TV till monday afternoon once tonight has passed.
cmon wings!
If this goes game 7 they will show it in the cinema tent probably...it was never on the initial schedule because finals werent supposed to start until June 5th. Pens win tonight it will be bittersweet for me because theres no way Im gonna miss some of the beasties to sit in a tent and watch a game...however I may pop in
