Just got a car leaving northeast NJ! Heading down to tent only Wednesday night.
So, if we're looking for a NY roo meetup party, just saying that Galactic is playing the Thursday, Friday and Saturday before Bonnaroo at Brooklyn Bowl. $15 tickets. I'll definitely be there.
Headed out from Huntington! When, do you think, is the best time to leave? You know traffic on the island is not forgiving.
I usually leave early Wednesday morning, like 6am. I do hit traffic leaving the island but usually push through it rather quickly. By nightfall usually I hit the Tennessee state line but I always stop for the night at the Motel 6 in Bristol, VA/TN to meet up with friends. Then wake up next morning drive another few hours to Bonnaroo!!!! This plan has worked for me the past 6 years, time to make it a 7th!!
Headin' down to the Roo for the 7th year in a row!!! Traveling from my hometown of Massapequa, Long Island!!
Hehe. Grew up in Amityville. Used to live on Forest Ave in Massapequa.
Cool man! I actually am living in an apt. in Lindenhurst as of now, but will be leaving (as i always do) from my parents house in Massapequa. My Pops always lets me take his suburban (which unfortunately is MIA this year). So the family mini-van will have to do. Haha.

Hey all,
So I figure I'm done lurking for a bit and I'm making my first Roo trip this year. I'm from Queens and I think this is going to be nuts!
I've been to a couple of fests but just had to try camping this out. I'm still thinking of the best way to get there though, but I need to make my decision quick!
my boyfriend and I are heading down from jersey city nj ....will hopefully be in manchester by 10pm wednesday to get some sleep and prepare for the weekend
So, my plans fell through and me and my girlfriend have no way to get down there, were in suffolk long island. We do not do drugs or drink so we were looking for clean people to head down with GET AT ME! we dont really care if you drink or do drugs we just would prefer not to have any drugs in the car on the way down.
inb4: why are you going to bonnaroo if you dont do drugs mannn?

We're leaving wed night, I have to work till 2pm and my friend works in radio in Watermill and can't get out till 5pm because of her show. We're renting a Jeep or Ford Escape from Enterprise, its only $450 for a week. We're gonna do the 16 hour drive non-stop. 1st me driving so my friend can relax from the drive from work, then she'll drive 8 hours and hopefully her husband will just sit quietly in the back or sleep.
If anyone wants to caravan we'd be down, and we might have room in the car for one person, but I'm not 100% sure yet.
Say hey johnny boy, the battle call United we stand, divided we fall Together we are what we can't be alone We came to this country you made it our home

Semi-unrelated: I hear there's a Sonic in Manchester. I've been seeing their commercials for YEARS but have never enjoyed those slurpie-like drinks they advertise!! Has anyone visited this Sonic?

Ha! Well, I'm not sure if there is but there might be. I dont really remember if there was a Sonic, but there def is a lot of fast food and other places to eat around the area. I always enjoy Shoney's and Cracker Barrel. But for fast food I always gotta hit up the Arby's whenever I see one. Dairy Queen rocks too!! Damn, now I'm getting hungry!!! But yeah, no prob for the info. Enjoy and if you end up stopping in Bristol on the way, maybe I'll see ya!! Otherwise... have a great Roo!!! PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
