I saw Mike hanging over the wall separating What Stage from the Sonic Stage during moe's set in 06 and sprinted over for an autograph. Once he ducked back behind the wall, my friends and I went around to the Sonic Stage and he was standing out in front of the stage taking pics of Bela Fleck with his camera phone. Not gonna lie, a part of me wanted to snatch that phone, run off, and get all the contacts. Hahaha. Anyway, he was very cool and hung out for awhile till a bunch of folks started realizing who he was and he had to retreat backstage.
i was at a rhythm and roots festival in rhode island a few years back and bela fleck and the flecktones were headlining. during the day my buddies and i caught a few shows but spent most of the time walking around. at one of the little booths we spotted Victor Wooten and my friend who is a huge flecktones and wooten fan walked up to him and asked if he was in fact victor wooten. victor said yes and all my friend could do was say "OHH MY GOD!" and wave his hands in the air and giggle. Victor just turned and walked away. later we saw him getting a massage and decided not to attempt to talk to him again. when the flecktones were performing we were front row and right below victor. at one point he spotted us and waved to my friend.

ok how about this...Trey and Page join the Decemberists for an EPIC melting pot of their two rock opera/narrative pieces...both Gamehendge and The Hazards of Love mixed!! hahahahahaha.
it goes something like this...
TMWSIY > Hazards pt. 1 > Lizards > Tela > A Bower Scene--->Won't Want for Love > AC/DC Bag--->Psycho Killer (w/Byrne who joins the stage all of a sudden) > The Wanting Comes In Waves/Repaid--->Divided Sky
...yeah and on and on, a lot not covered there, but i guess it's just a guest spot. lol. the possiblities are endless in this mix as you could have evil Wilson team up with the queen's character in the Hazards tale or maybe Margaret falls in love with the shape shifting forest dweller only to be warned by the famous mockingbird that the queen is coming for them in a chariot summoned by Wilson's army. With the help of the Sloth they fight off the evildoers etc....
My friend can't go to 'roo, so i've been torturing him with these silly imagined guest spots with mostly Trey and other indie bands we like to let him know all the awesomeness he'll be missing. I'll be all like...i heard that Trey will join Mars Volta for Televators--->Ghost--->The Widow or Trey will join Wilco for Handshake Drugs---->Saw it Again > Meatstick--->Via Chicago...lol, just ridiculous crap that would never happen....
Trey and Ben for sure. Didn't they go on dual headlining tour a few years back?
EDIT: The Zooma Tour. But I know at least a few shows were cancelled if not the whole tour. So I dunno if it ever happened. But this interview was conducted in 2005.
Former Phish frontman Anastasio told Rolling Stone: “I saw Ben for the first time at Bonnaroo a couple of years ago. He’s a great singer and an amazing guitarist. I’m really looking forward to being on the road with him this summer.” Harper replied: “We’ve been looking forward to doing shows with Trey for a long time."

That would be the best weekend ever if that happened. Suprise bluegrass (farmhouse/acoustic phish) set next to their RV I would show for sure. A late night Phish on Sat. without notice would be just to much to handle.

That is possible, but Moe and NIN are at the same time as Ben. If you have never seen Moe go and see them. Saw them at Echo Project and wont miss that late night show over Ben or NIN, no offense.

but isn't NIN taking a very, very, very long hiatus? I have never seen yeasayer or Ben Harper and I am much more a fan of those two than NIN, but I am going to NIN cause I know Yeasayer and Ben will be around for quite some time.
