Ok, first off let me say that the decision to keep votong open has nothing to do with being "modern" or being "old fashioned". It has to do with the votes changing game play late friday after I'd received PM's from multiple people telling me they'd be out of town for the weekend. I was trying to be fair...that's it. But if enough of y'all want to close it that's fine with me...that's why I asked for the input There will be a runoff now anyway. Also, I would appreciate if some of y'all PM'd me some death stories...thanks a bunch

Sorry if you took my comment the wrong way... I was just giving my input, per your request. I definitely didn't mean it as a dig against you or how you ref the game, I just gave my opinion and then my reasoning on the matter. My old fashioned comment was meant to be a lighthearted joke, as this is the "all-stars" game I thought that'd draw a chuckle... but that was probably lost somewhere between VA and TX via the interwebs And don't worry, you were being fair by opening it up to the general consensus of the players, as opposed to layin' down the law and not givin' us an option at all!
Anyways, I stick with my vote of fishingmaniac for now. I am a bit intrigued as to why Bek didn't change her vote to fishingmaniac to end the round all together and save her demise. Maybe I'm looking too much into it, but it could be significant or it could mean nothing at all... so my vote may change as discussions come about.
Something definitely seems strange about Bek voting for herself, then opting not to spare herself from the run-off by voting Fishingmaniac.
I'm tempted to believe she doesn't want to see Fishing dead and voted accordingly.
I'm torn between voting for one of those two, but since we're leaving things open for the weekend I'll give them a chance to respond before I make a decision.
Besides that, I'm practically too tired to think right now... A drunk driver detoured through mine & neighbors' yard before smashing up two parked cars late last night. Even when you've done nothing wrong, cops at your front door at 5am (when you work at 8) isn't a good thing... I'm going to sleep on this decision - literally.

I can easily answer this for you (and kdogg).
in my first post I said I would change my vote if need be to have a run off, that did not mean that I would change my vote from myself to kill someone else. That would have been wrong of me.
Not only that but why would I change my vote to fishman and off him if I presume him to be innocent? He has shown me no sign that his mafia and I believe in innocent until proven guilty.
ALSO.... I think a run off (of any kind) is the best thing to happen for the townspeople in the first round. Run offs can be very telling later in the game so even if I die soon, I can rest assure that at least I could help offer that to the people.
Any more questions? Ask away, innocent parties will never trip up.

Bek I'm still confused. hadn't thought of you until I read Strum's post, but your reply ust baffles me further.
I vote fishingmaniac. cause he voted for me. i'm still not positive about this though. i mean, i guess it seems like bek and fishingmaniac are on a team or something. bek obviously seems too confident about something though. that makes me nervous too.
I know Bek's in this run-off because of my vote, but my reasons weren't really based on any suspicions of guilt or innocence... more a combination of Bek voting herself & my not wanting to decide someone's fate with my vote. Scanning through the thread, I see Bek made the "Mafia is stacking votes" argument I've made previously - as a confused Townsperson. I could be wrong, but I think Bek's an innocent. So I'm not going to repeat my vote for Bek.
In the interest of narrowing the gap between the leading vote-getters, I vote Sadie.

Thanks, I had missed your initial statement of wanting to change your vote to force a runoff in the first place so it does make a bit more sense. It is definitely good enough of a reason for me for the time being
Plus, you just called fishingmaniac Fishman, which I found hilarious considering his profound distaste of all things Phish... so thanks and +1 for the laughs, whether they were intended or not!
If anyone (mafia) starts stacking votes I promise to change my vote to help ensure a run off between two parties.
Am I correct in assuming that your change of vote means that you believe vote-stacking took place in the first round? If it is, it's not as obvious to me as it was when I called it out in the past.
Where exactly do you believe vote-stacking is occuring? It would have to be in the votes for either yourself, Fishman or Sadie.
I know the Bek votes weren't a coordinated Mafia effort, because I was one of your two voters & I'm a Townsperson. So I don't think you're the target of alleged vote stacking.
Every run-off contender is mixed up in reciprocal voting, which is business as usual in the first vote. I think it's worth noting that this includes the Bek/Sadie reciprocal voting - and I don't think the Mafia would coordinate an avoidable run-off involving two of their own.
So when I think about potential vote-stacking in the first round, I come to two competing conclusions. 1. It didn't happen during the first vote. It's been called out enough the past few games that the Mafia might have seen that accusation coming, and voted around it. 2. It happened and Fishman was the target. That could possibly explain why he's currently got more run-off votes than there are members of the Mafia.
I'm not sure which it is, but I want to hear your thoughts (and anyone else's) on the subject before I make a final decision. In the meantime, I am nulling my vote for Sadie.

I am in no way working with Bek. I am a townsperson and she is... Well I Don't know what she is, but in the interest of self preservation I'll change my vote if you change your's.
*EDIT Hot n' Tot:
Funny I should forget that while on a fishing trip. ;D I'm gonna go ue one of those now.

I don't really know the answer to your question. Maybe there wasn't any vote stacking in the first round, maybe there was. I think all of this is information that will come in handy when there are only a few people left... I dunno how that works, but it does.
I wish I had some hypothesis for you friend but I don't. That's why I voted for myself to begin with and now I'm here on the chopping block.

I always call him that. ;D
Fishman, you suggested that you and sadie change your vote to me. I have an idea... if you're really innocent, let's each vote for ourselves. If you vote for yourself, it will benefit everyone in a few ways.
1.) You can proclaim your innocence, help your townspeople out and show them that the three mafia still remain.
2.) Our votes will cancel each other out and level the playing field.
3.) If you stack votes against me now, everyone will only suspect you later especially since I have proven my innocence to everyone.
I'll start with changing my vote to myself.
Believe me, that is really hard to do since sadie helped get me here, but I am honestly just trying to play in the most fair way and give us all a chance because I believe we are all three innocent.

If I you vote for yourself you have 2. If I vote for myself I have 5.
Bek, I can't change my vote to myself. I said earlier that I voted for u because u seem too confident. I am a townsperson and don't hvae the support of mafia. I'm nervous I'm going to be killed this round even though I'm innocent. I think ur logic right now is suicidal and insane. I'm considering changing my vote to u.

Hi there. I'm a concerned member of the "everyone" you claim will benefit from this plan. I'm coming at this as a Townsperson and would like to say a few things.

2.) Our votes will cancel each other out and level the playing field.

1. Won't anyone claim innocence, regardless of role? It's in the Mafia's interest to lie about it and the Inspector's to avoid detection. Even if this did happen... I don't think that agreeing to this deal will prove anyone's innocence. 2. Cancel all the votes to level the playing field? If one of you three is Mafia, it just gives you a round of covering your tracks in the vote record down the line. As an unaligned innocent in this vote, that gives me pause. 3. Why are you concerned with votes stacked against you? You're the "1" in a 4-2-1 vote. When you mentioned that vote stacking might have happened & I thought about it... you weren't even the one I thought it was happening to. I'm an innocent who voted for you in the first vote, so claiming the Mafia is "targeting" you seems more likely coincidence to me.
One last thing I'm curious about, Bek... do you intend to vote for yourself in every round of voting this game?

I'm changing my vote to bek also. If nothing else then just to keep myself alive.
Your logic bek, is ridiculous. You are insisting that I kill myself to prove my own innocence while claiming that if I don't it means I'm guilty. Meanwhile you vote for yourself and there is seemingly no consequence for doing so. I don't trust that for a second.
Damn. Just because I'm mafia doesn't mean that people should actually vote for me. ;D
