Then opening the bottles to transfer would be illegal. Likely if you're not rowdy and not drinking no one will check but maybe wait until you are close to the gate to transfer and throw your galss bottles out when you check in.
^Yeah, I would do that quietly in the line. In the event that an officer should stumble upon what you're doing, as long as no one is drinking an explanation might suffice. Keep a look out guy outside the van though.
i would have a container to pour them into, but just hide them and hope for the best. if they are found, then pour them off - they only care about the glass.
"alcoholic beverage or beer" - I find it funny that Tennessee does not understand the redundancy of this statement.
Actually TN law clearly distiquishes between alcoholic beverages and beer so that stores cannot sell wine or liquor and liquor stores cannot sell beer (or soft drinks, snacks or anything else but liquor.)
Kind of inconvenient to have to stop at 2 stores if you want liquor and chaser but that's TN law.
Troo, doesn't Stones River Total Beverage on Thompson Lane (here in the 'Boro) sell beer? I could swear I saw Flying Dog beer there once on a rum run but I could be wrong.
I think you're right, I'm just confused because I could swear Total Beverage had Flying Dog...and I'm carless at the moment, otherwise I'd drive over there right now, LOL.
I'm pretty certain that liquor stores can sell beer... I know I've gotten some beer at the Frugal McDougal's many-a-time.
And we had some transferred liquor in plastic bottles last year and never had an issue. We also weren't searched when we came through the gates, but it was stored at the very bottom of the cooler (which was packed under everything else in our trunk).

Next time your at frugal's or barleycorn's check out how theyre actually seperate stores with walls between them. You totally cant go into one and get the other. Its kind of irritating actually lol.
We traveled with ours in the original bottles, then transferred to plastic in the Food Lion parking lot in Manchester, a few miles from the gate. If you want to be super duper careful and not have to hassle with transferring there, transfer everything, put it in a box and seal the hell out of it, then bury it at the bottom of everything else you're packing. Good luck!

If my memory from last year serves correct, I'm pretty sure there is some sort of ridiculous law where if you have five beers out of a six-pack reminaing, that counts as an open container. this is just what i picked up from this forum from last year though...

Total Beverages is divided into two stores with liquor on one side and beer/snacks/cokes on the other. thats the only way they can do it is to divide the store with a wall between.

Ah! See, I told you I hadn't been there in a while :-) I usually go to the Beer Depot for beer and R&B Liquors for rum, LOL.

I can confirm that Missouri allows open container for passengers. I have drank many times as a passenger here in Missouri. However, when you get pulled over and someone has a drink open, the driver is going to get a field sobriety test and possible breathlizer.
Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.
