I'm curious if I should do this or just buy some cheap particle board and tack it on the back. The fact everything isn't flush is causing my obsessive-compulsive to kick in.
Also: non vinyl related but I ordered my "office" furniture today. I'm so close to being done.
Yeah, so quick story time.
I bought these. Or at least....I bought a version of these lol. I noticed this site about a month or so ago and thought this would be great for one of my 2-tier cube storage that I have (most of my other storage things for vinyl have backs).
I thought they were cheap enough to buy 2 (I actually bought 2 of each width cuz I wasn't sure which I'd like) and am waiting on them to be delivered.
Then I come to find out that I must have purchased the last or some of the last of the regular/original back spacers. Because when I went to the website again after ordering I noticed that they no longer listed the ones that I ordered but now had these nicer looking "Premium backers".
So I just missed out on the newer better looking ones.
I would have much preferred the wood looking ones (despite the fact that the whole purpose of these is to put them in the back and remain out of site).
Will post again when I get the back spacers and how I liked them (or not).
it's being delivered friday to my aunt's house (no sales tax in NH), so i'll have it hopefully not too long after that. depends when I can get up there.
I love the black blob edition. Newbury also has some different variants.
If I didn't already own multiple copies of these albums I'd be getting them lol. I have regular versions, anniversary releases (for ISM anyway), and picture disc vinyl releases I bought when they did their Terminal 5 run in NYC with an album each night.

As I've said before, I'm not even the biggest MMJ fan compared to, like, half this board, but I've listened to so much of them recently that even I saw this and thought "huh, that seems like a great deal" lmao
E: While I'm here I just signed up for the Gimme Metal Vinyl Club which I've successfully stayed away from. Next months Darkthrone had a different idea, apparently.
What kind of mats do you guys use? I've got a cork mat but recently became aware of acrylic ones that I'm dying to check out.
Curious if it makes that big of a difference.
just my stock rubber mat on the 1200 and a felt daft punk mat on my Rega. i imagine like anything you change on your turntable it will alter the sound in some perceptible way. whether that is for the better or not you don't really know until you try. everybody's setup is so different it's hard to predict.
