man i’m so glad the black pumas album got pressed in another configuration!!
I haven't been up to date on these so looked at the list earlier and was like "Oooo Black Pumas release?" and then saw it's the same album but now on a handful of 7" vinyl instead of regular. Not needed, especially at close to $100
I have one or two things on my list but I'm not going out early to grab them. Wouldn't mind the Childish Gambino, My Morning Jacket, and Creedence Clearwater 7". There's a bunch of others that are on my "I like this artist but not loving the release". Like for Cold War Kids or as we established - Black Pumas. May grab Richie Furay if I see it. Grateful Dead also seems like it's usual expensive release that I'm not as into (despite loving the Europe '72 tour).

I think MMJ might be June RSD? Yeah I am that way with Trail of Dead. I don’t really know those albums as much.
I picked up Taylor Swift and James Blake today. Probably the least I have ever spend on RSD, which is a great thing.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

And one more stop. Kaukonen has a place here in Ohio called Fur Peace Ranch. He does workshops for musicians and even beginner songwriters along with live shows. They also have a “psychedelic gallery”. Had to grab that one.

I ended up grabbing Handsome Boy Modeling School and L'Imperatrice for a buddy. Also finally gave in and grabbed Pageant Material by Kacey after always telling myself "Oh I'll grab it next time!"

No problem. I meant to tag you but I guess the @ symbol got cut off. Glad you were able to see it in time. I posted here right as LooneyTunes shared it on Facebook

I've had a ton of Vinyl records on my backlog to listen to recently. Some going back to before Xmas. I've posted here about how I refuse to put away a record before listening to it and the backlog has been building. Though the last few days have been nice and I've been on a soundtrack/score kick (mostly because it's easier to not focus on lyrics at times).
What i've been listening to the last few days:
- Ren & Stimpy - You Eediot! - The Suicide Squad (James Gunn version) - Ghostbusters - Legion (TV series season 2) - Last Night in Soho - The Last of Us Part 2 (covers & rarities) - Who Framed Roger Rabbit
It's been nice. I prefer Soundtracks over Scores overall but there are certainly times and places where a score without any words can be enjoyable.
I’m trying to keep my genres to a minimum. What do you think about Love and Rockets and Alien? Goth rock. Kind of post punk. Should I just put them in my general “Rock” genre or go to punk? I hate this shit. Ahaha. Maybe I should just go by name, but I want to be able to say “hey, feeling like some bossa nova tonight” and go there to “International” or “Jazz”. Where ever I end up putting bossa nova, but not think about the record I want.
Edit: any other opinions are welcome. New count is that I have about 1000 or more records of many genres and generations.
My L&R are in the “punk” section. I could go through and sub genera but I’m a lazy fuck. That’s where the trouble begins, imo. While some albums fit firmly in subs, others do not.

It was the second pressing of it and yeah, they should have just split it up and such. Hate how pricey it was.

The other variant includes “pure, unadulterated, authentic cannabis leaves” from Doghouse Farms Premium Cannabis encapsulated in PVC. That’s right: They pressed weed into their album. Those seeking the “Weedian High-Fi” experience will have to personally show up at Third Man’s brick and mortar storefront in Detroit’s Cass Corridor neighborhood. You have until Friday to make your way around the globe and get in line.

lol thinking that variant would last more than 1 minute after announcing it. These went on sale earlier (hours before press picked up on it) and all that’s left is the black.
This just reinforces the fact I think they were doing Dopesmoker in full at TANP. It would have ruled.
