I was getting ready to throw out the cardboard from my last VinylMePlease delivery (The National) and felt something shifting around in it. Opened it up and almost tossed out a 7" that I got that is apparently a surprise/secret 7" single that only 3,000 people get. Pretty cool. Haven't listened yet but this is supposedly it: www.discogs.com/Dent-May-Untitled/release/10691756
I got one a couple months ago and couldn't find out what songs are on it. Shazam didn't work on either

Bullmoose and indie stores will have a yellow and red variant.
things that are weird:
1) that Dreams is on this record. he released it over two years ago! 2) that the deluxe is on 2 LP but the regular is on one 3) Beck still hasn't made as many albums since 2000 as he did in the 1990s

FINALLY got my NIN "The Fragile" and "Not The Actual Events" records! And thankfully they both arrived in excellent shape... I was scared after Deviations, and people online where talking about The Fragile arriving beat up as well (people who got Broken are reporting the sleeve is literally falling apart). Can not wait to get off work tonight so I can listen to this, one of my favorite albums of all time, for the first time on vinyl.

Mine should be at my home, too. I finally got my replacement cover for Deviations and you would have thought it was expensive crystal being shipped... it was wrapped to the max and finally in perfect shape! They must have learned their lesson.
I also read that Noname's Telephone vinyl is going to be a VMP exclusive, also released for September with the hip-hop add-on.
Ohhh wow thank you for the heads up.
So... help me out here. If I want to buy Telefone I'll need to have a subscription to VMP? Which essentially means I have to buy Ready to Die?
You have to have a subscription, 1, 3, or 6 months, which comes with the ROTM. BUT, you can swap the ROTM for any of the previous ROTM's that they still have in stock, so you don't have to necessarily get Ready to Die.
But if you're doing this all for Telefone, make sure they have it first. Some of the stuff in the store sells out quick.
Edit: don't see Noname in the store, not even marked as "out of stock"

I did some googling and came up with this. Based on this it looks like it's part of an add-on to your normal VMP subscription? vinylmeplease.typeform.com/to/XfN2Ub
Do they have other add-ons? Can I just subscribe for one month?
Regardless, yes, I would just be subscribing to get access to the Telefone vinyl. If anyone is willing to hook me up with a copy I'll gladly send you cost + shipping + a little extra.

Did you get NTAE, too? Mine had full on handprints on the front cover from the soot and a spot of blood (?!?) on the back... some people are reporting internal variations to the sleeve cover, some people with no soot or fingerprints to speak of, and I'm still waiting to hear more feedback on what appears to be the blood on the back.

Mine ended up not arriving today. It's weird because a friend of mine an hour away got his today. I will give an update tomorrow but that is weird with the blood. Should I open with gloves?
My local record store also had a delay on The War on Drugs and I will not get it until Tuesday. :/

You might want to, depending on how sooty it is. Some people are reporting next to no soot in the bag, and some are reporting enough to have settled in the bottom. Mine had none sitting in the bottom, but I touched one of the sooty parts of mine and it rubbed off on my fingers. Not bad, but it rubbed off a little. Also, the full ep is on side a while side b is the last 3 tracks of The Downward Spiral in reverse... this is one fucking weird piece of vinyl. I'm going to have to order "Add Violence" to see what kind of weirdness that entails.
I'm always tempted buy big crazy deluxe boxes like this, but after years and years of purchasing them I realized I never listen to any of the extra tracks. If I bought this I might listen to a few tracks from the shitty bootlegs, maybe listen to Hetfield's riff demos a little bit, then put the heavy expensive box on my shelf, and when I want to hear Master of Puppets end up throwing on the original pressing instead.

Anybody know anything about reel to reel players? I'm gathering up a bunch of stuff for a yard sale because I'm broke and I have an old Reel to reel that my mom's aunt gave us a while ago. Not sure if it fully works but I am trying to decide if this is worth bringing to a store or putting on craigslist instead of just tossing it out with the yard sale.
I've got the following items that I'm not sure the quality of (if fully working or not....different items given to me over the years that were collecting dust):
- Ampex 1260 Portable Home Music system (http://museumofmagneticsoundrecording.org/RecordersAmpex1260.html)

Audiophilia is a niche market, and within that niche market there is another niche market for reel-to-reel people. In all my audiophile travels I only knew one guy on forums who had a reel-to-reel player.
Anywho it couldn't hurt to throw it on eBay, being totally honest about you knowing nothing about it's condition or functionality, stating you are selling it as-is with no returns. Charge actual cost shipping and start the bidding at $100 and see what happens.
Or since it's portable you could use it to listen to tunes when you work out or commute. Who needs an ipod when you have a heavy metal box filled with old capacitors, fragile glass vacuum tubes, and a scary looking stainless steel fan:
