I've never even heard that before... s/t and Deceit get pretty steady rotation on my record player, though.
I spent a bit of time searching for either the self-titled or Deceit but couldn't find a copy of either before the signing. Reckless Records had quite a few copies of this one, a compilation of their John Peel sessions called Made Available (and I only found out now that it was a collection of John Peel sessions - I was told by the vendor it was just a regular compilation), and Repeat/Metal. Given that a lot of vendors at Pitchfork's record fair had lots of other copies of records by other artists playing the fest (everyone seemed to have at least three copies of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill), it was kind of surprising no one had the originals.
Light In The Attic sold out of the reissues immediately after the initial on-sale and won't be repressed till September.
You did good. I have the main discography and Made Available (which is also a reissue). This comp and Repeat/Metal are all I'm lacking.
I'm floored, honestly. Going to see my framer on Saturday to start that process.
If anyone is intrested: thisheat.bandcamp.com/music You won't find this on Spotify. Now I continue my search for Crispy Ambulance The Plateau Phase. It's becoming my white whale of post punk vinyl.
In the next few weeks, they are releasing Michael Jackson’s Bad, Off the Wall, Invisible, HIStory, and Dangerous on picture discs if anyone is interested.

After not buying much new vinyl this summer, I've gone on a spree in the last two days.
Spacemen 3 - For All the Fucked Up Children Of This World We Give You Spacemen 3 - Taking Drugs To Make Music To Take Drugs To Ty Segall and White Fence - Joy Ty Segall - Goodbye Bread Mikal Cronin - MCII NIN - Bad Witch Earth - Earth 2 (Special Low Frequency Version) Deafheaven - Ordinary Corrupt Human Love
Finally got my turntable’s amplifier fixed last week! Apparently one of the channels had shorted out. So now I get to go through my backlog of vinyl and look forward to new releases!
Also I just picked up a copy of the Langhorne Slim and St. Paul & the Broken Bones split from Daytrotter from discogs and it just arrived!
I have finally begun the arduous task of ripping/digitizing some of my records through Audacity. I used to have soooo much music on mp3 format for the last decade or so, but after a couple of hard drive crashes (one literal... cat knocked my external to the wood floor a couple of years ago), I've recently found myself without digital versions of much of my favorite music. Also, having sold a bunch of my cds about 5-6 years ago, I don't have much to rip from... I am still buying cds here and there if I can find them for a decent price. I really don't want to use public trackers to get stuff I can't find physically, and since What.cd got shut down I've been without a source for my obscure tastes... outside of buying records.
Anyway, if any of you have ever done this, is there a program I should use instead of Audacity that may be more flexible in terms of recording quality and editing? Also, is it worth it to get an audio to USB input, as I'm using a regular 1/8 audio input and my results are fine so far, but it seems there's room for improvement.

This is prolly a useless post, but whatevs. There definitely are other programs out there that can do the job, but Audacity is very user friendly. I can’t imagine the sound quality would be changed too much switchin’ to a USB input.
Went to the record store yesterday and picked up a few cheap ones:
EWF - Greatest Hits I - $5 EWF - Greatest Hits II - $5 Robert Palmer - Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley - $8
all original or early pressings.
good haul for $18!
i have tons of post-punk, metal, and jazz in my collection, where I'm most lacking is soul/r&b/funk, so I see myself filling in those gaps moving forward.
Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck! I wish I had people still awake ‘round me ‘cause Jeezy Creezy I am tryin’ so hard not to throw down $$$+ shippin’ on a test pressin’ of dredg’s “el cielo” on white vinyl. And and comes with some hand written lyrics.
Only 10 copies. Game time decision.
::edit::
I done a bad, bad thing.
May have already sold out though. Should find out soon.

Anyone else having issues with SoundStageDirect? I used to love their website, but in the past two months they don’t respond to any customers and seem to have closed shop and taken their customers’ money. I’ve been reading all of the horror stories on different vinyl forums. I have two open orders but they were placed 180+ days ago so I can’t dispute them.

man that sucks, this is the first i've heard of issues with them. sounds like you might get screwed, hope the orders weren't too expensive.
i guess i'm lucky my vinyl and audio purchases slowed down around the time SoundStageDirect showed up. Prior to that I was mostly an Elusive Disc guy, they've always been great, with occasional orders from Music Direct and Acoustic Sounds.
so i got the first two Depeche Mode singles boxes in a couple weeks ago for "Speak and Spell" and "A Broken Frame".
The packaging is very nice, and the records sound clean and great. However one of the record labels in the "Speak and Spell" box was crinkled up and separating from the record, like there wasn't enough adhesive or it had gotten wet then dried out.
I ended up returning both boxes partially for that, but mainly because the box isn't a good value. I probably should have looked at the track listing before ordering, I was under the impression that the records would have more remixes, and not necessarily be reproductions of the original releases (my mistake). Plus I already have most of these singles on original/early pressing.

I’ve heard the new Michael Jackson picture discs have questionable quality, too, for anyone interested. They had kind of raised the quality of picture discs but these might not be the case.
