Whoa, I didn't know you could get that frank ocean on vinyl
Sadly it's a bootleg, but the sound quality is great so there's no complaining!
I really wish he'd do an official release of at least channel orange though. I feel like his music is something that would benefit being on vinyl.
I think both Ultra and Orange were on my store's list of special RSD releases but they were sold out of both by the time I got there. I think they only pressed 750 copies of Ultra but they do exist somewhere.

MAJOR fucking score toady at a yard sale!!! Dude was selling his dads records and I bought the whole box figuring there would be 1 or 2 I'd find interesting. $40 sounded reasonable. Oh what a treat I was in for when I got home!! Here's the total haul
That's my kick ass new vacuum cleaner in the background! And here are a selection of just SOME of the gems
3 Bob Dylans I previously didn't own. The self titled album was obviously purchased back in the early 60's and is Mono. SCORE!
A couple of Plastic Ono Band records.
Some awesome 60's.
The icing on the cake! 2 classic Jonathan Richman records. Devil's Anvil, an obscure 60's garage surf band that I'd randomly heard of, I can't fucking believe I now own a vinyl copy of this!
There's also Talking Heads, Kinks, Capt. Beefheart, Brian Eno, Neil Young just to name a few, I mean this shit is insane, some of this stuff should be in a museum!

Some aren't fans of this album, especially when compared to earlier ones, but it's a cool box set if you're a fan of it/the band. I got it when it came out but saw someone say it's on sale again at that link so I figured I'd post here.
I was at Goodwill yesterday getting some books and was about to check out and randomly saw Blue Merle's Burning In The Sun on vinyl. So random, but I was super excited. I really liked that record for a while. I wouldn't have even thought it got a vinyl pressing, but there it was, for $0.77 at my local Goodwill. Go figure. Really good condition too.
anyone here have an original Rubber Soul they would be willing to sell? its the one beatles album im missing. havent stumbled upon an original anywhere

Dammit I was broke when this initially came out and I am once again! If I hadn't picked up a couple of delicious records lately I could've afforded this! ARG!
Also, it's really time to get a record player. I've told my dad I'm takin' his (and his old vinyl) next time I see him, which might be next weekend.
I'll post some picks of my updated collection soon. Still gotta long way to go though.
I bought this Royal Thunder lp when I saw them open for Dillinger Escape Plan last week. The guitarist is the one that sold it to me, and he seemed pretty psyched for bonnaroo!
This is the turntable I have! I can't speak for the quality of the pre-amp because my receiver has a phono input, but the turntable has served me well for the past few months. Also, I can't speak to the quality of the USB recording because I've never tried it, but I've read several reviews and everyone seems to agree the USB recording is shoddy and doesn't work out too well.
It's nothing fancy, but I have had zero complaints.

Thanks for that! I won't be using the USB either, so I'm not worried about that part.
Long story short: my brother got a super sweet fellowship in NYC so we're moving in together and he's going to start buying vinyl records since I have the entire setup already.
AT HOME WITH THE GROOVEBOX In the mid 90s, Roland gave out prototypes of their MC-505 Groovebox to a bunch of different bands and asked them to make a song with it. Roland took all the songs they created and put them on a limited edition album for promotion of the groovebox. Lots of great bands, such as: Beck, Pavement, Air, Cibo Matto, Sonic Youth, etc. I can't believe i got my hand on a vinyl of this!
DIPLO - FLORIDA If you look at diplo today, you'd never know he started as a downtempo/triphop artist. I loved this album when it came out and had forgotten it existed until I stumbled upon it at the record shop.
So many albums that I want to buy right now, but I have to hold out until after I get finances back in order after Roo. I have picked up quite a few in the past couple of months though since getting Sky Burial back in April (3 were pre-orders placed a while back): Deerhunter - Cryptograms | Flourescent Grey Deerhunter - Microcastle | Weird Era Cont. Gary Wrong Group - Knights of Misery Ghost - Infestissumam (red) Gonerfest 5 - compilation (used) High on Fire - The Art of Self Defense (clear) Kylesa - Ultraviolet (clear with green & purple splatter lmtd edition of 200) Skinny Puppy - Weapon Sleep - Dopesmoker (Hasheeshian edition)
