Okay.
I'm sorry to put this upon you fine people but in the name of all that is sane and logical will someone please back me up on this. I've done extensive research, I've asked tons of battle tested, seasoned wooks, I've looked at every possible link Trey could have with Superfly and or AC Entertainment(who, as I'm sure your all well aware own pretty much most of the farm) and have found nothing. Which leads me to believe that....wait for it.....HE DOESN"T OWN THE GD FARM!!!!!!!!!!!
Problem is, I have one of those friends who won't listen to me. He keeps saying that it's true and we have been in a light hearted debate about this for awhile now. We are both going to ROO( just got my ticket today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and I'm willing to bet that if we don't clear this up once in for all he will be knee deep in some wook conversation late Saturday night and utter this preposterous statement and immediately be made to look like a fool by some all knowing Phishy. I don't want this to happen. I also just want to end this whole thing with a defenative, factually checked statement.
If you think this is all quite ridiculous that's because it is. Nonetheless, if you have any comments, smary or otherwise, please, I beg of you....BRING IT!!!!
(Funny thing is I don't even know if this will convince him. Anything short of Trey swinging down from the helicopter ladder and whispering in his ear "I don't own the farm at all and have never owned the farm or any small plot on the farm...ever..ever."is liable to be shot down and lumped in with the classic "the internet isn't a reliable resource," mumbojumbo.)

trey doesnt own the farm. bonnaroo and phish are managed by the same people or something along those lines. but trey defnitely does not own the farm or the festival in any way.
^Actually I heard he bought a 33% interest in it last year. That is the reason they are playing Bonnaroo not Rothbury, even though they almost reunited at roth last year.

Wait, I thought MTV owned the farm. That's the reason we get such sell out acts instead of the totally righteous jam bands we got in the first few years.

Smarm is a delicate tool. This is a decent example:

lol, your friend is completely wrong. phish is managed by Red Light now, owned by Coran Capshaw (their agent), who is involved in both livenation & AC (i think). trey doesn't own the real estate.

If you just bought your ticket today, can you do us all a favor and report what ticket number you have when it arrives in the mail? It'll probably be the best direction which this thread can go from here

I don't think any of my comments were smarmy. I simply assumed, correctly I might add, that it(the smarm that is) would come in heaps when I started the thread. Let's remember that all of this is extremely light hearted anyway so it's whatever really. He's just that dude you know. Thanks for the opinion though...and the smarm.

Silly Rabbit! I wasn't accusing YOU of being smarmy. I was referring to the smarmy comments that you are soliciting from us to use to convince your friend he is wrong.
