I was just coming to hijack the thread for a second. How is The Tabenacle? I havn't been there yet.
tha tabernacle is a great place to see a show! the acoustics are great (it used to be achurch)tha staff are super freindly and tha setup is perfect (no bad seats) but its a livenation venue....so it can suck my ass! im tired of being raped at tha box office, paying ridiculous service charges and buying $12 beers just to support another disgusting unscrupulous concert-mill of a mega ccorporation!

Thanks to both of you. I've heard so much about it. Looking forward to going.

We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us." — Charles Bukowski

Got my Flaming Lips tickets bought and hotel booked!
fyi The Howard Johnson on Meridian (about 5 miles down I-40 from the convention center) has a deal going on. $20 for any room when you prepay with no cancellation.

I will be seeing my good friends Carpenter and Clerk this NYE with my son. They have introduced me to so much new music including the wonderful Utah Phillips.
I wish that my buddy would upload some new vids. They have greatly improved and they have an upright bass player, and a friend who plays mandolin. They put on a really entertaining show and their stage banter is hilarious.
