"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio." -Hunter S. Thompson
Oh no! This is my first 'Roo and it is looking like it will be a wet one. I've seen pictures and video of '04, any of you veterans have any advise on essential wet weather gear? I have a few ponchos and plenty of tarps, anything else to make the campsite run a bit smoother?
The perfect thing to happen would be a cold front comes through Wed, bringing rain, followed by a blast of cool northern air that lasts a few days. That's the only way to avoid the hot, humid southern breezes that usually occur and bring humid Gulf air and PM rain.
The forecast could be predicting this but you can't tell.
Dry Day (www.dryday.com) was spot on for the last two years. It's based on farmer's almanacs and aboriginal spirit walkers. Okay, I made that last part up, but it was actually correct the last two years.
The point is: don't fool yourself into thinking 100% sun or rain. be ready to enjoy either!
seriously won't be like that....seems like the rain is slowing down and might keep being postponed until sunday just like last year...but I'm not holding my breath.
I say it's way too soon for any reliable information about if it will rain or not. It would definitely be a major change from last year, I was wishing for rain!
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this

With all due respect, It has always seemed to me that meterology is total bullshit! It's a bluffing game, predicated on averages, hearsay and hunches. The only time ANY weather forecast is accurate is when they base it on what's happening DIRECTLY up-wind. Anyone with a TV, telephone or computer could do your local weather-person's job. We won't have a realistic clue until the day we leave for Manchester.

The forcast will change every day . I just hope we can keep the temps out of the 90's and the humidity reasonable. If that happens, rain or no rain I'll be a happy camper.
