Just checked the accuweather website and now it's calling for mid 80's and rain while yesterday it called for 90's and hardly any rain. Go figure. I'm hoping for mid 80's and rain.

Don't hope for rain! It's forecasting lots of rain every day - no fun at all. I'm ok with a shower or even a thunderstorm every day, but rain the whole time would be a bit of a bummer.
This is the intellicast forecast, which I like more than weather.com. But it only goes through Friday. If it only rains on Thursday then we are in business.

Come on fellow southerners...this time of year there is ALWAYS a chance for a thunderstorm. That's why its always in the forecast. Heck, we had a good downpour here yesterday that lasted all of 20 minutes and, yea it was in the forcast. Everyday for the next month or so they will say "slight chance for an afternoon thunderstorm." I'm planning on getting wet, but hoping for "mostly dry."

^^'tis true, but we haven't had any substantial rain here in east TN in almost a month (if not more), so i'm scared that it'll decide to rain right as roo starts... we'll find out soon enough, only one more week!!!
With the exception of two, 5 minute showers last week/weekend, Manchester has not had ANY rain in 19 days.....
I have been telling my wife that the skies are just waiting for roo to start so they can open up and make up for all the lack of rain.
It is SOOOOO dry here right now.. I would like to see some rain before roo, but dont count on any significant rain. We will end up with those hard soaking thunderstorms that last for about 20 mintues and blow your campsite all over kingdom come...
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."

^Looking back at it, it was... but at the time I was tired of being soggy. In the end, the weather is going to do what it wants... and it'll be an awesome time.
weather.com only can look to next friday but it looks like next thursday and friday are gonna be partly cloudy, which would be SWEET! not much sun, but still about 90 degrees. perfect!
but haha, as the saying goes, make plans and listen to god laugh...
The biggest problem with Conventry wasn't the rain during the "festival", it was all the rain that led up to it, creating the horrible mud situation. I can deal with rain, but I HATE MUD.

Well the good thing about Roo this year is that we've had NO RAIN here in mid-TN in literally a month. While an all-day steady rain would create a mud-storm, a ten to twenty minute downpour would just be sucked up by the incredibly dry ground. The mudstorm of Roo 2004, like Coventry, was preceded by a weeks worth of rain.
Local CBS affiliate 7-day forecast shows Wednesday as partly cloudy with a 20% chance of rain, a high of 87, and a low of 67.
