Since I was jobless and had no business going to Bonnaroo last year, I planned for every meal at camp. I seriously made a menu and shopped for it. On my way down, I got a call and was hired for a new job! That freed up my money a bit and a lot of food came back home with me. Next year I'll plan for eating at camp until Centeroo opens (volunteers get there early) and bring only snacks from that point forward.
My tent was 20+ minutes away from Centeroo last time and with my luck it will be this year too. I make a lot more money this year than previously and I hate walking more than I have to so I plan on eating through vendors 88.456 % of the time. Maybe eat a banana and some yogurt and a muffin before taking my morning walk but that's about it. Plus I want to try out all the food I keep reading about.
a case of water for each person is a GREAT suggestion. It seems like too much, but it's just right... and of course it accounts for sharing.
I brought a 12'er of water and didn't even open it. I brought 12 Gatorades as well and drank half. People say "don't drink beer the whole time, you need water" but those people aren't from Wisconsin
I do plan on drinking a water when I wake up this time vs a strong bloody right off the bat. My feet were swollen after the 3rd day and lack of water might be why.
I think that if you have some pretty substantial snacks (my faves are soynuts, pb+j, clif bars, special brownies , trail mix, anything that doesn't require refridgeration) you'll be fine eating from the vendors. they're pretty pricey but usually you get a pretty good amount of food. and who can forget about $1 grilled cheeses!!!! soooo very necessary to the bonnaroo experience!
