I think it's just for a tickets sweepstakes, they are advertising it on some of the channels including jam on. They did this last year for a couple of festivals, wanee, rothbury and a few others...can't remember. But it's not like behind the scenes info or something unfortunately.
Ok I know this is probably a long shot, but I figured what's the harm in asking. If anyone knows anyone that has an RV pass for Wanne and doesn't need it or is looking to get rid of it, please contact me. We were thinking about renting an RV, but called the park only to find out that all the RV spots had already been booked. Thanks to anyone who tries for me ;D
I'm not totally sure on this one, haven't been to wanee, but looked into going to some of the other fests at SoS, and I think you can just roll up in your RV and find a place to park it. It won't have the hook ups but in April you probably won't need them and the RV has a generator on it anyway. At least this was the vibe I got when I looked into taking my pop up there. It will save you some bucks too because I think they want 175 or so for the RV campsites.
Maybe somebody else thats been can give you an idea though.
I went to Bear Creek, but didn't really ask anyone there about RV's. We simply camped it up for that one. I'm not so sure that is the case though, because all the RV's we saw were parked in relatively the same place. The primitive camping area didn't have any RV's in it to the best of my knowledge. I certainly could be wrong on that though.......
There's always some campers out in the area around the bat-house. If you don't need electricity or water I'm fairly certain you can park whereever you want.

Just get on wanees forum. The people are very helpful. IN many ways I thought the Wanee 2010 lineup was best bang for the bucks. Were going. Volunteering for Roo

Can someone give me a quick rundown and tell me what this festival is like? How is it different from roo, as far as the vibe and logistics. Can you bring coolers of beer, food, etc? And do they search cars upon entry like at roo?
Two big stages--->main stage is in a field, the other is also big but is basically an earthen amphitheatre. Camping and parking isn't directed by workers/volunteers, you just camp where ever you want. You can bring glass bottles. There has been no search whatsoever in the 3 years I've been to fests at SOS. The vibe is always awesome there, just expect to dodge several weaving golf carts and you'll be good.

There is a strong police presence around the stages. Discretion is advised.
It's an older, slightly more redneck crowd than you'd find at most fests.
Well, Wanee was the bomb. I could count on my hands how many cops I saw all weekend, none in the campgrounds. It was pretty packed out in primitive but still very chill. Allmans killed it, Black Keyes were awesome, was my first WSP show, nice. George Clinton needs to stop now, however. Anybody else go?
Yep I was there. First time catching the Allmans for me, and it was amazing. Warren and Derek belong together, that is all that needs to be said there. I mean they opened the weekend with Mountain Jam and then finished it off the next day! Doesn't get much better than that.
First day of WSP was great. Nice older choice of songs for the setlist. I like the feel of the 2nd show better though. I thought they were a little more loose the 2nd day, left a little more room for jamming and improv. I thought the 2nd day's set was a little more danceable, but both were awesome.
Great festival, very minimal complaints I heard all weekend......
