Wow, I guess I'm the only one that doesn't like Hank III... I know it's not classic country, but since we were talking about the Williams, I had to say that I'd not see him.
To the people on the fence on No Show Jones, I saw him last year... he is still great on stage. Sure, his voice isn't what it used to be, but a concert from him at Roo would be one hell of a barnburner.
He was the one I really wanted to see there this year, I even posted a poll about it. Since then I have see him live and he is getting really old. He said he was feeling a little under the weather so that may have been the case. I almost felt kinda bad for him really. He was walking around with his hand on his back alot like he was in pain and had to use the teleprompter many times. That may be due to the fact that he has written so many songs though. I just don't know if could or if he would play a set in that usual blazing heat at Roo. If he is up to it then I am down though because I love the Possum.
I'll throw in a David Allen Coe vote just so we could have a Call me by my Name sing-along.

I'm going to be this guy. The guy that says, yes, I want Garth Brooks to play Bonnaroo. That's me. I'm that guy.
I'm right there with ya. I took a lot of crap for insisting that they would be an amazing get a couple of years ago but he would ensure a sell out and I have heard great things about his live shows.
There is a tour every couple of years with John Hiatt, Joe Ely, Lyle Lovett, and Sam Bush. If they had a afternoon tent like the Bela thing last year I would be there all day.

OMG! Please, please, I promise to be really really good if this happens
Dirt Band for sure ! Saw them last spring & they are still great! Vocals & instruments are still spot on, and their new album is not bad ! Classics fer sure.

I remember when I was really really young, "Friends in Low Places" was one of my favorite songs... I was a pretty decent little Garth Brooks fan. Hard for me to consider him classic, but if SOMEHOW it were to happen, I'd try to fit it in (at least a little of it).
I'll third the Hiatt. And a return from John Prine. While they fit more into the "ALT" category, Country they are.
It would be a return for Hiatt, too. He played in '03 or '04. Can't remember.
Really? I've been through both line ups and can't find him anywhere. 04' was my first year and that would have been huge for me. But stranger things have happened. I didn't know till just recently Brandi Carlisle played in 05'. If I missed him I have 2 regrets at Bonnaroo now.

No Hank III? Blasphemy!
Hank III is about the only country act I would see at Bonnaroo. He embodies the Bonnaroo spirit in so many different ways. I saw him in lancaster and it was an amazing show.
"Well if you know what I'm thinkin', you know that pop cuntry really sucks!"
... however, my dad took me to see Garth back like 10 years ago and I must say... he puts on a hell of a show even if you dont enjoy his music.
I think Garth is tied up in one of those full time Vegas things for the next couple of years. They do not like you doing your act outside of Vegas when you are under contract like that.
