I don't think either of them would even be headliners, but if pressed I would say Gaga. If there's someone better playing, I'll go see them. KOL would just be boring.
whoa, i voted gaga, but i'm surprised she's running away with the vote here. we better be careful. ac/superfly will see this and really book her. why do you think we ended up with kanye and why we are getting gwar? i swear they get suggestions off this board. which is cool and a bad thing at the same time.
If she is going to be booked, she has already been booked. Druid I would put a neither up, but I am trying to get a comparison just between the two

Really surprised on how much of a lead Gaga has. Personally, I'd prefer the Kings. Been a fan since Youth & Young Manhood and think they're a solid live band (if not particularly exciting). The only Gaga song I like is Bad Romance. I'll take solid tunes over spectacle any day (though some, like The Flaming Lips, are really good at combining both). Still think it's very unlikely, but you never know with Bonnaroo (plus, La Roux, Goldfrapp, and Little Boots do the same thing, but much better, and combined would probably cost the same as Gaga)

I voted her not based on music because if I had to listen to one on my ipod I would pick KOL but i'm voting based on who I rather see live so knowing GaGa would be a blast i'm going with her
I finally broke down and listened to a few Gaga songs. The only one I like so far is Bad Romance. As for the KOL, I used to really like them. I like their first few albums and thought the recent album was meh. I was really excited to see them live. It was November 2008, I think? It was in Nashville and I believe it was the last stop of their tour. Since I had never seen them before, they were playing in their hometown and it was the last stop of the tour, I was expecting great things. I was really underwhelmed though. They had no energy and didn't interact much with the crowd from what I remember.
I really don't know who I'd rather be there/rather not be there. I don't like some The Lady's shenanigans but sometimes I like her campiness. Her show would not be boring, for sure. But what if she brings Perez Hilton with her? I like KOL's older albums but they're boring live. Plus, in every interview I've ever read with them, KOL seem like total douchebags. Even in a fluff piece when the interviewer is a total fanboy and is kissing their asses, they still seem like dicks to me. You are grown ass men, quit getting in a fistfight with your brother every other week. Oasis do it better, anyway.
I like some of KOL's music but can't say that I would drop everything and run to see them at the farm. I've only found one Gaga song I like so far but I would probably have to catch some of her show as long as there were no conflicts.

I'm with you on this. I get the hots for Nathan Followill from time to time but not enough to want them @ Roo. I agree they are on overkill. Watch, we will probably get them both as headliners They are different enough from each other that I could totally see that happening. That would work out brilliantly for me seeing as I will be at home rather than on the farm. My fingers crossed for that scenario despite the selfishness of it. I'm wicked like that.

Either could hold down a Byrne slot, but neither are big enough to headline What stage.
i'd like to see gaga by herself: just her voice, a piano, and the kermit suit. i would definitely show up for that because she is a very solid musician with a great voice who happens to know that pop music will make her rich and famous. check out some of her radioshow performances on youtube.
i'd probably see kings if there wasnt any conflicts. but not if theyre a headliner. too crowded to listen to them sound like they do on the radio.

I have to say I am appalled by the Gaga support on this board. I honestly think I just threw up a little.
I voted KOL for two reasons. 1. I do like their albums preceding this one, and have never seen em....so I'd check em out. 2. I can't think of a band/musician/puppet I wouldn't rather see on the farm than GaGa, wether I even watch their show or not.
