It took Brooks half the season and nearly the whole team getting COVID to realize that Russ has to play with shooters around him, but since he figured that out, we've been decent.
Garrison Matthews is our best wing defender (which is sad) and he's also a good shooter. We've done a lot better with him in the starting lineup. It was pretty ridiculous when we were starting Isaac Bonga.

I think Bonga is a better defender but I think that it makes more sense to start Matthews especially with Russ
Lebron has the opposite of voter fatigue. He’s somehow the leader right now basically all because of narrative.
Really enjoyed this related conversation.
I finally got to this pod, and I agree that LeBron post-2011 has never been the best regular-season player. However, I think they skipped over LeBron's real case: he should have won from 2005 to 2011 every single year.

yeah I think they were specifically responding to some TV personality types that have been recently going on about him not winning one in the last 8 years or whatever.
Lol at the spirit(s) from last night's game. But we ended up doing some wild shit*. Admittedly, we really aren't that good, but we also don't completely suck. We have some good players. But there's always some shit with us. In this team's case, we have a terrible defense (usually) that has given up some historic 3 point performances. Currently we are the second worst defense in the league but have a defensive minded head coach. I wanted to talk shit in 2021, but I don't feel like we have lived up anywhere near our potential. It's understandable with the youth and the new staff. But then you have the 24 comeback vs. Boston or the big win last night against the best team in the league at the moment. Maybe we can make a late run, but I wouldn't bet on the playoffs.
* We scored the most points in the paint (74) against Utah in 4 quarters/regulation in 25 years. Our win with only 11 3 attempts is the fewest for a winning team in 4 seasons (T-wolves with 9 back in 2017). Also per ESPN, Utah's 43 attempts vs. our 11 made it the largest 3 point differential this season. I think I also read that 129 points on only 11 3 attempts was the first time in 10 years.
