have never been more conflicted about who i want to root for in a game 7. on one hand, i really do want the Lakers vs Clippers matchup we've been hyping up all year. but on the other hand it would feel so good for the clippers to just crash and burn like that.

Some rumors the Pacers are interested in D'Antoni. Don't really think that would be too logical of a fit for either party; I'm hoping they hire Becky Hammon instead. Would be cool to have the first female HC, plus Poppovich-style basketball makes a lot more sense for our roster as currently constructed
I’d like to see the Nuggets win, so I will be cheering for them tonight. I didn’t see a game 7 after the game 1 blowout. I would have lost money. Longer term, the only downfall of the Clippers loss is that they seem to have the best chance to stop the Lakers. My #1 hope going into the playoffs was that the Lakers didn’t win the title. I don’t think Miami can beat them in a series, and would only give Boston a slightly higher chance which means not much of one. Same goes for Denver. They play with a lot of heart and energy, so you couldn’t completely count them out either though the betting odds should favor the Lakers by a wide margin.
why would a non lakers fan ever want the lakers to win?
just wanted to know if its bc he has something against lebron or if he just wants another org to get the title. im bias asf as the residential bron stan here, but i think its a lot easier to root for the lakers to win it all this year given their motivation with the kobe tragedy.

The Kobe thing hit me pretty hard but I still grew up hating Kobe and the Lakers and could never root for the Lakers to win anything. Probably easier if you aren't a fan of another west team though.

yeah i never grew up rooting against him, didn't get deep in to the nba until like 08/09, and at that point i never really had anything but love for kobe. i definitely enjoyed watching the lakers front office disasters of the last 6 years, but at this point with the sixers out i really have no one else to root for. obvi not gonna root for Boston, the clippers have annoyed me all year, and Jimmy winning a chip right after leaving us would just be heartbreaking. so yeah, go lakers.

I think you forgot a team
oh ill be rooting for yall tn, but like i said my allegiance to bron + the fact that the lakers winning it this year would emotionally hit hard as hell compels me to root for ring #4.
I said why a while back and most recently when I said why I was for the rockets. I like James, Davis and most of the team. But I didn’t like the way them through Rich Paul handled any of getting Davis in to play with James. Generally I’m going to be against dream teams in the NBA anyway, but in this case I don’t want them to win the title. I don’t care if either of them wins another 5 with some other team (or individually with the Lakers).
