I don't follow comic books, but he's a fan of Thanos. It's his gauntlet. Many jewelers in Houston put together pretty crazy pieces of jewelry for rappers and athletes. This one was Zofrost, but you have Al the Jeweler and Johnny Dang, among others.
While I don't really give a fuck about the content, it's pretty intricate. I actually prefer Sideshow Jax's Sideshow Bob emblem Al did for him a couple years ago.
Instead of grandstanding shouldn’t he be working on the Coronavirus? I know they aren’t in session right now but I think I’ll call his office and remind him we have a pandemic.
Why is no one in our beloved sports league, that’s supposed to be the most progressive, speaking out against anti-semetic views that have been shared lately by people like Desean Jackson and Stephen Jackson? I had no idea Farrakhan and NOI were so revered by professional athletes and the hip hop community but it’s fucking lame. Brees rightfully got flamed for his dumb comments but Desean Jackson literally tried to agree with Hitler and it seems like no one really cares?
There is maybe one Jewish player in the league (Casspi didn't play this season, so there may not be any?) and a lot of ignorance. When your biggest "woke" mouthpiece is flat-earther Kyrie Irving the situation is probably not going to be particularly pro-Semitic. It wasn't that long ago LeBron got some heat for the "Jewish money" reference and when pressed his defense was that it was a positive stereotype so he thought it was a compliment. LeBron sticks his foot in it politically sometimes but he's one of the more savvy guys in the league, so yeah, if players like him and Kyrie are canaries in the coal mine on this there's probably a lot of nasty shit going on there.
I think the farakhan in hip hop thing is two fold, it's good for rhymes and it's a figure a lot of people are sort of familiar with. And he's mentioned by soooo many different people that probably don't know shit about him and then it turns into a oh this guys cool (trump similarly) feedback loop
