There was a little girl and her mother walking through the park one day and they saw two teenagers having sex on a bench.
The little girl says, "Mummy, what are they doing?" The mother hesitates then quickly replies, "Ummm they are making cakes."
The next day they are at a zoo and the little girl sees two monkeys having sex. Again she asks her mother what they are doing and her mother replies with the same response, "Making cakes."
The next day the girl says to her mother, "Mummy, you and Daddy were making cakes in the lounge last night, eh?" Shocked, the mother asks, "How do you know?"
She says, "Because I licked the icing off the sofa."
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
One day a year people ask you to respect the memory of what happened that day, but you can't manage that.
Ah okay I understand now. Jokes about sexual abuse = totally okay and respectful. Thanks for letting me know the rules. Here's one that may suit your sense of humor a bit more:
You know why Penn State likes losing at half time?
Because 12 years ago I lost a cousin, two "uncles" that were my dad's best friends, a football coach, my best friend's dad and a teacher who had just taken a job in the WTC 3 weeks before 9/11. Plus 5 firefighters were lost from my town and I was part of the group that built their memorial. I apologize that this sort of stuff means something to me.
I think all those jokes are f*cking trashy, but I don't say anything because I know it'd end up with a stupid discussion like this one, where I have to explain to an adult why making jokes about the worst thing that has ever happened to a lot of people on the anniversary of that event is classless and insulting.

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm not sorry for repeating a joke with no ill intent meant toward anyone. It was a tragic event, yeah. Joking about it doesn't diminish the tragedy. There is a whole lot of offensive humor that exists, so maybe a lot more people need to 'grow up'.
But really. No one has told me why jokes about suicide or pedophilia are acceptable, but 9/11 is crossing the line.
I don't find these acceptable either. And I am a grown up.
It's fine if you don't find them acceptable, just shake your head in disgust, tell yourself I'm classless, and move on. My question was why am I the first to get called out whenever this page alone has a few fairly offensive jokes? Not sure what you being grown up has to do with it. I was referring to Flanz insinuating that it's childish to tell an offensive joke. I was just saying plenty of people (people who get paid to do it as well) tell 'tasteless' jokes, so it seems a lot of people need to grow up.

I'm a grown up and haven't found much humor that really offends me but I'm also not going to claim that others should change how they are because they don't share my feelings on the subject. Sometimes it's easier to just be considerate of others. Offensive humor does exist but that's not a reason that everyone should just accept it and not be offended by something. We're all different.

And you're 100% right. I wasn't trying to say "you should think this is funny". I was more trying to say that if a simple joke geta you worked up to the point of insulting a stranger on a message board then maybe you should either ignore that person, or calm down and realize that nobody is trying to offend anyone else here (except the person hurling around insults).
Because you have terrible opinions, are unfunny and nobody particularly likes you.
I like bansheebeat. I'm almost convinced he's been abducted after that joke, though.
It's one thing to post it, but you can't really be surprised that people were offended by it...right?
Thanks... I think. It's a bit of a stretch to say no one likes me. Everyone here who's actually met me thinks I'm a pretty okay dude (I think).
I'm not surprised people were offended. It's an offensive joke. Hell, it really isn't even that funny (like our good friend Juggs pointed out). The thing is I wasn't TRYING to offend anyone. I'd be more apt to sympathize if I wasn't immediately insulted for posting a joke...in a joke thread..that's already full off offensive jokes...
That said I am sorry for any offense taken. But again. It's a joke people. I'm not personally insulting anyone who was anyway personally affected by 9/11 nor am I downplaying the tragedy.
