"You look like you're listening to every note." - Lady to me during LCD's "final" show 2023: Mar 29 - Guster Apr 6 - Postmodern Jukebox Apr 26 - Father John Misty May 14 - Taylor Swift (Philly) May 17 - Robert Plant and Alison Krauss July 12 - moe. July 16 - CAKE (Portland, ME) July 28-30 - Newport Folk (#12!) Dec 8-9 - Goosemas!
There's also the "Extra, Extra" thing...News covering important topics.
Isn't all news about important topics? If it isn't important, it's not generally referred to as "news". For instance, an article on gardening, even if in a newspaper, isn't referred to as "news". It's an article.
Well when i saw this clue I was in my Social Welfare Policy class and we were discussing health care. My first thought was that the "important topics" portion was talking about the economy and... as much of a strech this may be... I thought of WPA (Works Progress Administration). They would fit roo well and have some people in the band who have played roo before.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Chad/State Radio did 2 nights @ The Orange Peel to close out 2009. Dispacth sold-out Mad Square Garden
July 13–15, 2007 - Popular Boston-based indie band Dispatch sold out MSG for three nights in a row and became the first independent band to either headline or sell out MSG.
I like the reference below to "Time" magazine and IMPORTant. How about the Australian Pink Floyd Show? That would be amazing! Definitely HEADLINEr material.
...and COVERS important topics, like covering the music of Pink Floyd.
^^ i've wanted a Dispatch headlining spot for years!! The thing is though...the guys are so charitable that they wouldnt want any money for the performance and they would want roo to donate funds to Haiti or Zimbabwe (which they should do). I would love it but think that they are out of even Bonnaroo's checkbook range...

If Roo donated to their causes it could really play well. late night set for relief. That would draw people. Lots of people. People who don't mind camping.
2/5- Papadosio 3/3- MUSE 3/12- John Mayer 3/19- The Werks 3/31- Passion Pit 4/18- Ben Folds 4/20- Against Me! 6/10- Bonnaroo 6/30- Eric Clapton and Roger Daltrey

Oh man, I'm glad to finally see something from djjd on this clue! When I was working on the website last night I realized he hadn't said a word about this one...I was half convinced it was a red herring, but maybe not...
I still like the logic behind the Gossip. Even if it isn't them, that's the sort of thinking I expect for this one...like a riddle of sort, not just a synonym for headlines.

to go with the logic behind the gossip my guess is Rush because... Rush Limbaugh reports the news in such a bias way that it covers the actual important new.. kinda funny too i guess which is what djjd said
