That's a sweet deal and the 2 hour open bar seems tempting but $500 is just too steep for me. I could probably do it. My girlfriend and I planned on going. But we're probably just going to get the regular price tickets, a cheap hotel that's minutes from the pavilion, and save a few hundred bucks. Definitely need to get these tix.

Someone on the MMJ forum broke it down too. It's like $120 for a suite figure $90 for 2 tickets. Thats over $250 for a "pre party". I don't even think I can drink $250 in 2 hours.
Not even to mention I have heard some not so nice things about Consider It Dan (CID).

You also get 2 limited edition posters, but still......I couldn't drink over $100 of alcohol in 2 hours so this deal wouldn't really work for me. I'll be just as happy getting a cheap hotel and drinking my own stuff before the show.
Still though. I just can't justify it unless they can guarantee front row seats.
Same here. I thought for the $500 that the pre-show party would be like a meet and greet with the band or something. Even then.....I don't know if I'd do it.

Thanks to whoever posted that War Begun on the last page. I got chills. That was such an epic night. Cannot WAIT for this band to be back!
One of the mods on the MMJ forum said there's no presale for MPP. If that changes, I'll post the info over here as well. Do you guys think MPP will be GA? Also, anyone down for tailgating/regional beer swap beforehand?

i used CID for the MMJ NYE show - netted me a room, posters, food / drinks in nyc, on nye. all in all, reasonable. if i was going to voice any complaint about CID, was that they werent super responsive to questions...
Well.... damn. I'm not a Tom Petty fan, although I'm admittedly not as familiar with his body of work as I should be (that sort of heartland rock has never appealed to me much). However, I really, really want to see MMJ do a two-night run up here, but I don't want to pay Tom Petty prices just to see them. I probably will anyway, though, because the only thing that would leave me kicking myself more than paying around $250 for two nights of MMJ would be finding out that I wouldn't be able to see them again for a year or more.
Also, to anyone else who's considering checking out the two night run up here in MA - give yourself a sizeable buffer zone for your travel time. Trust me on this. The traffic can get really bad around Mansfield when there's an event going on at the Comcast Center. I went to go see Radiohead there in August 2008. It's ordinarily a 30 minute drive south from my house; I left about an hour ahead of time, but it took me over two hours. It was just bumper-to-bumper traffic for over an hour. I missed all of Grizzly Bear and the first 5 songs of Radiohead. Don't let this happen to you!

however, i would recommend them.
If it included.a room I would have been all over that. I'm sure just like any company it has its good with its bad. My issue is honestly nutsy. I just can't justify paying that much when I know of cheaper alternatives.
Eff yeah!! So glad one of these is gonna be around NYC, thought it would have been much sweeter if it were at MSG. I guess MMJ isn't allowed back at the Garden after completely blowing the roof off at NYE in '08.

I'm looking into the possibility of doing the saturday Boston show. I love Petty and the man has a knack for great openers. The first time I saw him The Replacements took the stage, before him. I'm guessing thats where he stole a Westerberg line from.

Just found out today that my girlfriend will be on a trip for work during the May 1st show at MPP. So I'm not going to that. Depending on the price of the Petty shows in Mass. we may hit that up. MMJ will only get 45 mins to an hour probably but it'll be better than nothing. And Petty aint too bad himself
